I'm supposed to start my FET with a baseline bw and u/s on CD1.
I was on birth control pills and usually get a period 4 days after stopping them -- but this time, my period came 2 days early!
I'm lucky enough to live in a country where IVF is covered by the national health care system, but there are some major downsides.... the clinic is CLOSED on Fridays and Saturdays.
Now it's 7am Friday morning, and I woke up with my period (not just spotting, a full flow). My clinic isn't open again until Sunday morning. What should I do?
This is my 4th FET, and we are doing the same protocol. Starting CD1, I'm supposed to take Estrofem 2mg three times a day. I've never ever had problems like cysts that delay a cycle. I was on BCP, so odds are super low that there is a cyst or something. My baseline is ALWAYS normal and I always get the greenlight to start the Estrofem.
Should I start my Estrofem today? Should I wait until Sunday? I'm on a basic (no down reg) medicated FET cycle (Estrofem tablets orally, when my lining is thick enough in about 2 weeks, start progesterone, then transfer). If I wait until CD3 to start my Estrofem (ie, wait until Sunday when the clinic is open), have I totally ruined my cycle? If I start the Estrofem today (CD1, without a baseline measurement), what could go wrong?
thanks!
(and I'll be continuing to hunt down my doctor/nurse.... or at least someone who can answer me on what I should do!)
