Could this be the start?

Hi Girls, Well I got up this morning don't mean to be crude and went to toilet and I am spotting. Its not bright red it's brown. Yesterday I had AF pains but today they have gone. I don't have any pains but I am wondering if this could be a sign to let me know the baby is not to far away. I have my midwife coming today to do an home visit so I will mention it to her when she comes. I guess I would know if I was going into labour with the pain etc... but it was when I saw that I had spotting. I can't even remember if this is my due date for AF cus it could just be that, because I have had spotting before. Hope everyone else is ok. Love Shell. 35wks 5d pg xx

Hi Shell I hope things go well for you if you do happen to go into labour in the next week. I am off to Devon for Christmas this afternoon and I don't know when I will next be logging on so I am sending you lots of love and encouragement. How exciting!! I am seeing my midwife this afternoon before we go away to hear the heartbeat as we haven't heard it yet - just to set my mind at ease while we are away. Be calm and have a lovely xmas. Hi Dagny, Just want to wish you a lovely Christmas as well, and a Happy New Year, lets just hope I can hold out until I have had my Christmas Dinner. Its all so exciting, I will be 36wks on Thursday and can't believe it. You take good care of yourself, and it will be amazing to listen to your little baby's heartbeat for the first time. Hi Shell, Well what did your midwife have to say re AF pains and spotting? From the sound of your other thread the babies big enough now to be born - and probably easier for you to have naturally! Hope you have a good Christmas and New Year and that you get to hold that wee one of yours soon, Di 18 wks

Hi Girls, Well just to let you know midwife come and she sent me to the hospital so I have spent the afternoon at the hospital. I was put on the monitor so they could listen to the babys heartbeat and they said that is fine. I do have traces of protein in my water so that as been sent away and I will just have to wait for the results. My midwife was concerned about the swelling but hospital checked it and said all they can advise me to do is rest so that is what I will have to try and do. I have the midwife coming in again on Saturday to check my blood pressure and to make sure everything is ok. They say that the pains I am experiencing down below is normal the babys head is engaged and is pushing further down so this is why I am having the pressure pains.
