Anyone from CT?

Post by Pocos »

Hi, I am new here, I wanted to know if there is anyone from CT here. I am seeing Dr Andrew Levi, but I am little worried because he is not a SART doc and his lab is not accredited ( I was just reviewing the SART reports...). He was recommended by my OBGYN. Anyone had any experiences with him? Thanks

If it helps, their success rates can be found here:

Thanks girls. I was actually thinking of switching to Connecticut Fertility Associates, since the drs are SART members and the lab is accredited, but I met with Dr Levi and found him to be very nice. I think I am going to give it a try.

silntbob - How long have you been with Dr levi?

Blessings to you all.

How about Yale Fertility in New Haven? They were great! We first started at UConn in Farmington, but after 4 unsuccessful cycles, we switched. I loved Yale. I felt more of a patient than just a number. It's not as busy of an office & they were a lot more relaxed & easy-going, which I think helped in some way. I went to Dr. Patrizio there...he is phenomenal! Yale would be way closer to you than UConn. Good luck!

Hi moorebaby, thanks for the advice! I will call Yale, its definitively closer to us.
Also, my husband just got the results of his sperm test, and he has only 3% of normal sperm. We still dont know if there is anything wrong with me , but is this the same problem your husband has?
Now his urologist wants him to do a DNA fragmentation test...
Thanks!

Yes, we have sperm issues...low/poor everything (count, morphology, motility). I have no issues. DH had to do a TESA twice....it sucked...he was in a lot of pain! Unfortunately, that didn't help. We brought up the DNA fragmentation test, but were told that it was not really recommended. Basically, there is nothing you can do to change DNA (for the most part). So, we would pay out of pocket for a test that would give us results, but they would be results we could nothing about. So, DH became a serious vitamin popper, lol! Who is your DH's urologist? My DH went to Dr. Honig, who is in New Haven. I would definitely call Yale Fertility. PM me if you have any other questions.

Been going to Dr. Levi for a very long time. We have a beautiful child from fertility treatments under his care and are trying to have our next child. Like I mentioned earlier, we have always gotten great care from him and he's a very compassionate doctor. You never feel like you are just a number in his office. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I called Yale, and told them I was with Dr Levi, and they really like him there. They made me feel more comfortable with staying under his care. The wait for Dr Patrizio is really long!!!
I will keep him in mind in case things dont work with Dr Levi.

silntbob - good luck! :)

Thank you all. I really appreciate all your help ladies.
