close to end of line

Post by Angela37firsttimeivf »

I just had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. We were trying for baby 2. I am inconsolable. We have two eggs left, then due to us being over 40 and living in Germany, if we want to carry on, our insurance will no longer pay half. We used up our three attempts which blessed us with our son. If it just hadnt happened I think I would be more willing to accept it, but getting so close to it has made me want it all the more. I think we would also be too old to adopt now (at least a baby). Anyone else in a similar position? Isthere any point in carrying on or should we look at other options? After taking so long to be persuaded to try for a second with the remaining eggs, my husband wants to give up altogether. So I can't see any way forward at the moment anyway. But even though I know we need time to come to terms with it, it does help to be able to look at further options. But like I say, I can't talk to my husband about it at the moment..

Personally, I would try with the two remaining embies, and make a decision if that didn't work out. I only had two embies left when I tried for my second and I now have a second beautiful son. Good luck.
