My RE wanted to do further testing after the FET and we found out I have polymorphism, which is I *think* the same as MTHFR. I also don't metabolize folate efficiently. I am instructed to take 4mg of folic acid daily and a baby aspirin. When we do another FET, I will start Herparin as well. I am not familiar with MTHFR. I'd read other womens' blogs who'd had it, but never thought I would have it too or that it would take this long to figure it out!
There are still six embryos left to be transferred. I am not getting any younger and would love to try at least once more. Do you think my RE would transfer three? It was her idea to transfer only one for our IVF, but I wanted two, but they did not stick and now we know why. I *knew* something was up during my FET. I had cramping I'd never had before and even very faint BFP tests, but I guess they could not hold on. It took af at least a week after my progesterone was done to even arrive. I bled pretty heavily. I had my blood work done a couple days after af was done and they took 12 vials (for the MTHFR and other testing). For whatever reason, I had a car wreck not five minutes after leaving the RE's office. I was in the hospital for five days. My world was turned upside down! It has given me A LOT of time to heal emotionally, mentally and spiritually, as I have been out of work since November's accident.
We've not used bcp in almost 8 years, but more actively trying for almost 6.5. While I have reached the acceptance stage, it does still hurt sometimes. Though, my good days far outnumber my bad days. That's what having a great husband and cognitive therapist can do for a girl!

I do apologize for the scatter-brained post. Apparently, my brain still has some healing to do.

Do any of you ladies have any advice or have you experienced anything like this; minus the wreck, of course?
