varicocele repair

Hi All,
I have not posted something here in quite a long time, but my husband had a varicocele repair done 3 months ago and is still experiencing pain and discomfort since the surgery. We were told he would be able to return to normal activities and should be feeling well in 7-10 days, but here we are 3 months later still in pain. An ultrasound and CT scan were done and both are not showing anything abnormal, yet there is still frequent pain and discomfort. He has also been on antibiotics for 3 months. We had a follow up appointment with the urologist this week who did not give much insight other than this is how your body is responding to surgery. Does anyone else have experience with this procedure, insights, etc ???
