Hi! I'm 34. I'm not in a good position to have a child, but would like to have one later. I'm thinking about trying ovarian tissue banking. I know it's experimental at the moment and not many children have been born this way, but I'm optimistic about progress in the next few years, and for various reasons it seems like perhaps the best option. I'm concerned about one thing though - if I allow some of my ovarian tissue to be removed, is this likely to cause me to have menopause earlier? I realize there is some probability, but does anyone know how likely it is for damage to ovaries to lead to early menopause? I figure removal of ovarian cysts for instance would have a similar effect, so perhaps people have experience with those?
