To answere your question, if tests are ok and my FSH is ok then we will have one more go with my eggs and cams sperm , and if not then we have the option of unknown donor 1 year wait or donor embryo no waiting list . if tests show that there is something wrong in my make up that wont accept an embryo then I suppose drugs to sort that out before any other cycles. I feel that perhaps if I can use my own eggs then I will go for it ASAP but if it has to be donor eggs or donor enbryo then I will defo wait and think about it all as last time with donor eggs from my cousin was different , having a donor egg from someone I dont know might be different. I want to also go on a great holiday to have time out for just me and DH as after 3 ICSI's we sure deserve time out together.

I will think of you at 10 o Clock :(

Hi ya Traci

I so hope you get the test results you want (and deserve) and I know it's been said on here before but you are always here for everyone despite all the crap you've gone through. I did think but about doing egg donation and depending on the outcome of this tmt will think about it again as our clinic has now started advertising for donors. It must be a huge decision to make but even though I don't really know you i think you'd be a fantastic mum whether the child is biologically yours or not.
Anyway dh has just got home from footy training and is shouting up the stairs so best go.

Hi Traci
Great News!! About time things went your way I hope the tests go well and you get some answers one way or the other. know what you feel like re money I'm not even going to think about it :? but if the donor doesn't work then we will have to forget it, as least for a year :( . When do you think you will be ready to try again providing the tests are OK? Do you ovulate at all? would you consider dIUI?
I'm off skiing next week :D and then back to IUI I'm going to get the clinic to do some tests before we have the donor just to make sure everything is OK before hand.
Take care and talk soon
Big hugs

Traci,

Woopee. That is great news. I do hope it will bring you nearer, or at least sort out a few uncertainties and I'm pleased that the NHS have helped out at least that much. Did you manage to get drugs (1 cycle) from your GP???

I will be cycling again around May - so may be will join you (Had a disaster - see board) But feeling much better now. I always thought it was too good to be true.

Take care - Hope 2004 will be the one.

Hi Trace,

:) It's great to hear that your GP has agreed to pay the cost of your tests. DH and I had some blood tests in December and I think they were to check chromosones and they are checking me for blood clotting (they took 9 test tubes of blood from me!!!).

A friend here at work is also going through IVF and she has had 2 failed attempts (both FET) - her consultant has recommended she starts taking Viagra before the next try. Have you ever heard of that? He said it helps blood flow to the uterus and can help implanting.

When will you find out the results? I have delayed my follow up until the results come in - so my appointment is on 3rd February.

Traci,

What brilliant news. I really hope all the tests come back OK and you'll be on your way again soon.

Don't feel alone in having paid out loads - my treatments have totalled 14.5k not including about another 1k I have spent on acupuncture etc but I guarantee it will all seems so insignificant once you get your dream (and one girl on FF spent £26k and has a lovely little boy now).

Keep fighting the fight sweetie and I'll be keeping my eye open for progress

Lots of love

Hi Trace,

This is brill news that your GP as agreed to get funding for you for the drugs, I am so pleased. Majority of doctors don't do this anymore but its about time something good come your way.
Lets keep everything crossed that this is the start of many more good news to come.

Thanks for all your lovely replies , it has cheared me up cause Im sat here beside myself crying as my cat has just had his 3rd fit this week and he has fallen between the bed and window , I ve just had to have the vet out and he has carted him off , he will do a series of tests on him as he is diabetic and 17 it will be crunch time wether or not to put him down or change the insulin if its that. I dont want him to suffer but he is my Baby and Ive had him for 17 years , to top it all I pulled the bed away to get to him and I have done my back in . What a Shit day sorry Marcus.

Dolly
it seems as though they are the same tests they are as follows:
NFS 10 Clotting Screen ( with Karyotyping)
Full Blood count
Coagulation Profile
Antithrombin 111
Factor V Leiden
Factor 11 Prothrombin Gene
Activated Protein C Resistance
Protein C
protein S
Lupus Anticoagulant
Anticardiolipin Abs
Karyotyping
Tsh
and 2 lots of FSH
There it is what a list

Michelle
You are nearly there girl are you Nervous? its I bet a strange feeling like you dont quite believe that the time has come. I still think its a Girl. I do hope it all goes well for you and that you dont have too much pain

Fiona LK

Nick
I havent read your post yet but from what you have said it can only be bad news , Im sorry whatever it is , {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}

Tracey S
How are you matey are you getting a bump yet ? hows the sickness? I think about you every Day . I havent heard from Helen G in a while I called her over Christmas but I guess she will be busy with the boys as they both had Hernia ops, I will call her soon.

Phil
Thank you and how are you getting on ?

Aly
Yes I do ovulate and have regular cycles its just my FSH is 12 - 16 and I only get 4 eggs at a time but Grade A embryo's! thats why I wanted the tests done , DH has low Motility due to reversal.

Dawn
How was your injection? its not that bad if you just go for it !!!! I think I will go for it ASAP if I am to use my own eggs and Yes DIUI would be an option, otherwise donor egg or Donor embryo I think I might have the holiday first to think about whats involved as it will be unknown donor which is different from someone you know.
you wont need to book a holiday as its going to work this time :D

Hi Trace,

I am so sorry to hear what a sxxx day your having, I am so sorry to hear about your cat as well. The thing is it doesn't make any difference what age they are because they are always part of you and your family. My Dad has a springer spaniel and I talk to Zak like hes human and I am sure they can understand us, and they grow to be part of your life etc... I hope all will be ok, please let us know when you can. Trace I am excited but also nervous and I am also hoping there is not alot of pain, I am sure I will be ok. I will post and let everyone know my update tomorrow on how things go at the ozzie.
Take Care

Hi Trace,

WOW that really is a list of tests. When I had my blood taken they didn't really go into what they were testing for (I had just had my first scan and was told I would m/c) - so I am sure they will go through everything at my followup.

I am SO sorry to hear about your cat (and of course your back!). I really hope he is ok. I had to have my cat put down a year ago and it broke my heart - she had been poorly for a long time and she was really suffering - but it was still a hard decision to make.

Thinking of you

Love

Hi Traci

Oh bless your heart, I hope your cat is ok. I've got 2 boys and they are my babies. I love them so much and I vow not to be one of those people that when they get pregnant the animals get shoved out. I see it so much at work and it makes me so angry! I know diabetes is very hard to stabilise in cats so you have done very well getting her to 17. I'm sure you and your vet will make the right decision for him but I know it's very very hard.
Hope your back is ok too!
The injection was fine, I'm quite excited about doing the next one! How sad is that!
