my sister in law who i use to live next door to in leigh had hers done
at kings in london as they didnt do it locally and she said as u are
over 37 u should get in on the nhs. so i will see what the doc
says on thur.
i have been reading as much info as i can. I have a nine wk

hi alisonn,
you're sis in law is right. you will get it done on the nhs at this age, probably at the hospital where you'll have the baby will do it. your midwife or gp will tell you. the main reason for me doing it privately was the wait time for the results. i had them within 30 mins of the scan. if it's an issue for you too, you can check with the midwife who'll know everything.
i know what you mean about pinching yourself. i was at my friends wedding on saturday where we knew everyone, and some of my family were there too. it was really emotional. my friend finally married her guy after 20 years! and we are 3 months pregnant after being married for 12 yrs!. talk about late starters....
best wishes with your scan on thursday. nine weeks already, i'm 14 wks today - it's flying past.

I had mine done at the Fetal Medical Center Harley Street it did cost £130.00 but well worth the money, our gp pratice does not cover this on the nhs so I opted to pay myself but you do get the results then and there so no waiting took about 30 mins and had some lovley pictures.
