new to forum - have a question!

Post by monx77 »

I just recently went through the first stage of IVF. I had to freeze my embryos as i need a hysteroscopy and laproscopy to remove a fibroid blocking a tube. Surgery is set for 7/10.

Today I went for my day 3 blood work. A nurse left me a message stating my estrogen level was higher than they wanted (128) and that i need to come back tomorrow for bloodwork and ultrasound. Anyone know why they would consider this an issue?

Hi monx77.. Sorry to know that.
High estrogen levels contribute to increase or develop endometriosis and other issues. I think that's why they might prefer to lower those levels first.
A friend of mine had a surgery to remove endo and then had to start a treatment to lower estrogen levels to reduce chances of getting endometriosis again.
How was your test and ultrasound?
Hope everything is well now. Please, keep us posted x
