Negative vibes question

Post by Lisa_P »

Morning

Can I ask a question? dh and I had a big row last night. he was very drunk, it was late and I wasn't impressed!! I ended up being really upset, shouting and crying. Will it have hurt 'baby p?' I know stress isn't very good and I'm now really concerned :x

dh is being really attentive today - and so he should be!! we very rarely row and I'm probably more upset about the fact that we did.

Your thoughts would be welcome
thanks

Your hormones are all over the place - please don't worry - it will not harm baby at all and baby must get used to you being cross when daddy comes home late!
I have gone through my 5th tmt with the unanswered death of our baby hanging over us and then the funeral etc and his ashes turning up yesterday - it has done no harm so far and people have loads of stress most of the time - the 9/11 victims to name a few.
Please try not to worry and relax in between times

Hi Lisa

Like Tracey has already said your hormones are all over the place at the moment and you will have days when you just feel like screaming. I have fallen out with my Mum so many times and had slanging matches down the phone because I just couldn't control my temper. :(

Tracey really did put things into perspective saying about the 9-11 families who went on to have healthy babies and also she herself has had the most dreadful thing to have to deal with whilst being PG.

Your DH is obviously trying to make up for upsetting you so milk it for all you can, I would!!!!!!!!!!! Have him pamper you the whole rest of the weekend and string it out for as long as you can. I hope he has got a filthy hangover - Tee hee.

Try not to worry too much and have a good weekend.

Hi Lisa,
Don't worry about it!!!! I stressed over things like that early on as I'm a teacher and head of department who always gets the kids sent to discipline, and after shouting and stressing, I'd always apologise to my bump!!! LOL
Anyway, I mentioned it to the midwife who really cheered me up and made me laugh by asking if I wanted a counsellor on standby when I went into labour... :D. As she said, people go through very traumatic things, but your baby will stay quite happily in his or her own world - it just means s/he could hear your voice more clearly, hee-hee.
Lap up the attention from your hubby while it's there I say!!!!
Take care,
Zoe

Please don't worry! I spent yesterday afternoon shouting at 11 sh!te Leeds players who had their @rses whipped by Boro! Honestly, the only difference it made to my two is they stayed up all night playing football with each other in my tummy!!!!

This won't be the last argument you both have before this journey is over, I'd just make the most of him feeling guilty and let him pamper you!!! I wish the Leeds team would come round and pamper me........now there's a thought!!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and pieces of advice. Y'know some days when things are just really blown out of proportion? well that was one of those days. Dh pampered me lots and the making up was really worthwhile :P

I'll be 9weeks on wednesday and can't wait for the 12weeks so that I can begin telling people - this weeks don't half drag!

I've spent the weekend looking through the new Mothercare catalogue - lots of ice things. It'll be soooo expensive but so exciting too.

Thanks again

Hi Lisa

Glad you are feeling ok now. It's hell waiting for scan's isn't it? I am going bonkers waiting for my 20 (23 weeks at my hospital for some stupid reason) week scan. I hope your 12 week scan comes round quickly for you!

I love looking at all the Mothercare things and any baby things but my DH is supersticious and has got cross with me for buying things already but I just can't help it. He wants to wait till after the scan. Once the 19th has been I will spend, spend, spend!!!!!! :P :D

hi lisa

glad you are feeling more your old self. As dagny says waiting for scans is a bloody nightmare. I'm sure you and dh will feel more relaxed once its out of the way.

Dagny, I can't belive you are still waiting for your next scan - I'm off to have my next one on Monday (my 5th one!!) Can you feel movement yet or kicking? This is how a I reassure myself that my two must be ok, because they kick and punch me all day long! Because of my placenta problems instead of one being on one side and the other on the other, they are on top of each other, like in bunk beds. This means one lies permanently on my bladder and the other just under my ribs, so when they kick now it makes me jump......or run to the loo!!!

Has your dh let you buy a heart monitor yet?? You'll feel more reassured knowing you can just listen in to whats going on....

I went into a Mothercare for the first time last week - very exciting. How does one get a brochure??? Can I order it over the internet?? My house is surrounded by baby magazines, books and catalogues!!!

Roll on scan dates for us all!!

Hi Nikola

I feel like it's been bloody ages waiting for this scan.......oh wait a minute -it has been bloody ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is driving me insane. Yes I can feel the baby now which is a relief. It kicks when I'm on the computer the most. I am on a laptop and when the fan kicks in the baby kicks me! I suspect it is telling me to get off my big lardy @rse and do something constructive!!

No, I didn't get a sonicaid in the end. Maybe because my GP said I could come in any time if I was worried and someone will let me listen so I thought it was a bit indulgent at this stage. I can feel it moving most days so it aleviates my fears.

I like the idea that yours are like in bunk beds! It must feel really weird. A friend of mine is 20 weeks PG with IVF twins and she hasn't felt much movement yet. Is that normal? I tried calming her but I didn't really know if it was normal. She has her 20 week scan tomorrow so she should feel a bit more relaxed. She has put on 2 stone as well and freaking out

I don't have a Mothercare catalogue I just go into the store a lot and just fiddle. I will get arrested soon  I got some very comfy maternity trousers from there the other week. Plain black and quite smart but everyday wear too. Joggers are so boring. You could probably get a catalogue on the website.

Love Dagny xx
