Failed 2ww

be interested to hear how others have felt & how you've moved on after having a failed ET. Just finished a terrible 2ww, longest weeks of my life! Feel a kind of relief that it's over, but a great sense of loss, failure, and questions liks can I carry on with all of this (have another 8 embies in storage).

Failed 2ww

Post by Sarah30 »

Hello Nic

I had a failed treatment in early June and was truely gutted, hubby was great though - had a good cry and basically looked on the positive - we have 13 embies in storage, so just wanted to get going again. Was held up by hormone problems and womb problems, had to have an op last month. Had my second ET on Monday so am on the 2WW again.

I know it's really hard and very upsetting when the end of the 2WW is negative, but all you can do it look forward and make your plans for the next course of action. Dwelling on things that might have been will prolong the agony and a positive attitude will soon get you past this stage.

I sound really harsh, and I'm sorry, but this really worked for me. With support of hubby and encouragement from family and the Clinic, I was feeling raring to go with a a few days of my results.

How many goes have you had Nic?

Sorry, haven't been much help, but I'm sure most of us have been there and came sympathise.

Chin up

Sarah :o)

Sorry to hear you news - mine failed first time round - I was devastated, but I was relieved in a way to get all those drugs out of my system and feel relatively normal again. Sounds corney but time does make it better and you will then feel like starting again. I gave it a month and am having FET on Friday - fingers crossed.

Spend some time just for you - a good bit of pampering helped and a large glass of wine (or two)!
Keep strong
We are all with you
Lol
Lissa
x
good luck during your next 2ww. I feel ready to have another go, but just wonder if it's worth it, was so convinced it would work first time!

This was first et (frozen), never got a fresh one in after ec as went straight into OHSS!

will have to save up some pennies to have another go in the new year, thanks for your words of advice.
