nikola...have you seen......

Post by JackieT »

hi nikola
i was just reading through one of my many many baby catolouges and came across something to make me think of you... clips.. yes clips.. not hair clips.. but buggie clips. they are used to clip 2 single buggies together and be put on or off as needed. so you could use your new fancy buggies and not have to buy a double at all.
very thrifty me...
so if you want to know about it, then let me know and i will give you all the info you need.
glad to read your posts in various areas and to see you are keeping so well.
as for mothercare cat, either on-line or from any of there shops..
so speak soon
love jackie xxx

Jackie

thought I would nip in here as Nik always is on my threads! HEr DH will love you - I am in his bad books for introducing her to ebay - probably where she is now! She is not allowed to register. Won't it make the whole thing huge? Not you Nik? She likes an excuse to buy big things does our Nik - can't wait to see what she says
You ok?

Just to say that I don't have buggy connectors but I believe they're only suitable for short-term use rather than all of the time.

Nikola has said in a previous post that she doesn't like you using the word 'HUGE' and her name in the same sentence. You've really done it now!!!!!

Hi Jackie, how are you? Hope your bump is growing and baby is thriving. Mine is kicking quite a bit now which I love to bits. :D

Jules, I will give you a call some time next week. This week has just passed so quickly but my scan date doesn't seem to have got any closer!

Take care ladies - I am still reeling in shock at the size of Shells baby  Bloody hell!!

I went onto Fertility Friends to see Shell's birth announcement and that site is all singing all dancing lots of pictures and moving stuff. I got a migraine!! It's very nice but I did feel like an intruder. They get gold and silver stars for top posters etc. Some posters are in thier 1000's if not more, OMG  Put's Traci to shame.

I was hoping Nik would not notice - she has just had a cheese sandwich - anyway u have now alerted her and I meant the buggy not her so you are being rude - nerrrrr!
And make us feel inadequate why don't you - Shell's baby size, number of postings on ffriends etc - honestly as if we don't have enough with hormones.
Come on Nik - this is your thread
take care all of you

For goodness sake do you lot have nothing more interesting to gossip about than my weight and what I eat!!!!!!!!

jackie - thank you for your idea. dh would be v.pleased at the thought of preventing me spending anymore money!! I have seen them, but I think they only really work on the lightweight pushchairs, our bugaboos are big prams and would be huge if pinned together! Besides I need an off-roader cos of where we live (up Ilkley Moor!), I don't think the little Maclaren type buggies would last five mins.

Besides I have my eyes on a lovely Mountain Buggy Double Turrain......test drove it last weekend and its fab! Obviously the most expensive in the shop, BUT I CAN'T HELP THAT!!! The other cheaper option is the Instep Nipper which apparently is the biggest selling twin pushchair - its as good as mountain buggy but £200 cheaper. Obviously dh thinks this one is great!!

We are off to look at cotbeds this weekend, can't decide on which one we like, but I guess we need to get two ordered soonish.

I've got a scan on Monday so hopefully they will confirm all is still ok and that I'm not about to give birth in the next few weeks - at least not until our pushchairs arrive!!! The bugaboos turn up on Wednesday - can't wait!! Dh wants to take them out (without babies) to try them out - durr!

Dagny/TS you are both mean - I can't help being on the rather large side!!!! I went to a funeral on Monday and my relatives all thought I was about to give birth at any second! Honestly.

Tracey - just so you know I am having a Chinese Takeaway this evening - you are obviously very interested in what I eat!!!!!

I hope you've been doing some work otherwise I'm going to tell the IT Director (my dh!) that you've been skiiving and playing on ebay and sending silly messages about my cheese and chutney sandwich (which was delicious by the way!)!!!!

Hope everyone has a fab weekend.

Love you all lots.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's such a shame that you can't post a bump piccie Nikola so we can all see how ginormous you are!

We've got the Nipper Double and it is a breeze to push and very light. But I think if I'd had the cash, I could well have gone for the Mountain Buggy - it IS lovely.

(If you do decide on a Nipper Double, you can get a discount organised by someone on the Twinsclub.co.uk forum with Practical Pushchairs, so it's only £249.)

I was not being mean I was simply drawing Tracey's attention to the fact she she had used the word huge and your name in the same sentence. I don't know how big you are.

I am still reeling in shock from yesterday when a friend of mine came round for dinner who is expecting IVF twins. She is a week behind me and we are the same flippin' size. She had been going on about how big she was and I expected her to be twice my size. I can't believe it. She couldn't believe it either. Only 4 weeks ago I had a tiny bump and now I am the size of a whale!!!

I hope you get the perfect buggy. I haven't thought about buying one yet. I am just having the odd look on the web. I must get my act together once the scan is out the way.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi you!

You got the computer back out of the hospital then......all ok??

I sent you a text re MB on EB - did you get it?

On the bump front - I had a big growth spurt around 16-18 wks but this could have something to do with being laid on a beach in Mauritius and eating for England combined with Christmas and stuffing myself silly. Then nothing seemed to happen for a while and then I had another big spurt around 22wks and now I have a nice fat beach ball under my jumper.

I love my bump(s)!! Will measure myself again with toilet roll.

Dagny - not long before your scan and then you can get into the big shopping mode! How exciting!!!

Hi Nikola and Tracey

Sorry Tracey if I got you into trouble.

I had bump envy and before I knew it I had a bump that was just massive. My DH took a photo of me 4 weeks ago and it was a quaint little lump and now in the words of Nik I have a beach ball under my jumper! I am so proud of it though. I used to be a bit of a nutter and I am sure I am not alone when I say this but used to put a pillow up my jumper for years when I was alone in the house just to see what I would look like and now it is a REAL baby bump not a synthetic one. Am I alone here???

I am so excited to have my scan now. Only 1 week and 1 day to go..................... and then shops here I come!!!!! Wahoooooo :D

When my mum comes tomorrow we are shopping for material for my old cradle that she is doing up for me. I can't wait to get my nursery decorated and put the transformed cradle in it. 8)

Love to you both

Love Dagny xx

Hiya you two - and anyone else reading this mad thread
How goes it - great to catch up on your fabby news :D
Dagny don't worry about getting me in trouble - I had a book down my maternity trousers to match your pillow!
I used to do that too - I am currently going through my panicky phase and remembering how Oliver died etc and keep waking up believing my bump has shrunk and is way too small - I know every one is different and some people expecting twins don't nec have large bumps but even so......
Trying to stick out what I have but gives me back ache....
Nik - thanks re the MB - DH thinks to pass on it thanks - if you want it though...... WE will wait until after the 20 wk scan and then go for it big style - if necessary look again on there but take the chance - a new one is not the end of the world is it???? Ha ha  Mind you I really must get some candidates and get working.
Glad all ok with you both - not long until shopping time for you Dagny - Nik can give some tips
Love

Dagny - you are scary - did you really put the cushion up your jumper?????

And tracey - why would you have a book DOWN your trousers - were you trying to imagine having a willy??

You are both v.wierd!

The scariest thing I've done is wheel my new bugaboos around the house pretending to take the babies for a walk - I don't think this is even close to what you two have been up to!!!
