To Lisa from Berkshire Re: Harley Street

Post by Sarah30 »

Hello Lisa

I too am very happy with the people at Harley Street, they were recommended to me by Royal Berks Hospital and by my boss who has also been through IVF. My other options were Basingstoke (where they recently had the awful embryo mix ups!) or Oxford, but as Harley Street was recommended we decided to go there. I particularly like the fact that Mr Goswamy takes on many difficult and unlikely cases giving everyone the best possible chance. Apparently, alot of clinics don't take people over a certain age or who have had previous failed attempt or who have complications because it makes their statistics look bad. Harley Street take on may different cases. I had minor complications with my ovaries overproducing testosterone and a very bumpy womb lining which Mr Goswamy operated on me himself and fixed the problems. I feel confident that he will get us there in the end (he thinks he will too which helps).

I had my second embryo transfer on Monday of this week so have just started my 2WW.

If you feel you may get better treatment elsewhere, there is absolutely no harm at all in visiting some other clinics and maybe even having a consultation if they're free just to put your mind at rest. I think that's what I'd do if I had concerns.

Sorry to waffle on - don't know if I've been of any help at all.

Good luck with your ICSI, fingers cross for you.

Sarah :o)

You have not waffled at all. You have been quite helpful except that you did not say how the clinic could be contacted. I assume there are more than one ivf clinic in Harley Street

Hi Sarah,
Oh yes, there is only one Ann, she is fantastic. When Me and dh go through the "dreaded", I think Ann and Mr Goswamy are the "best ever" but I just want a b***dy result. It is easy to blame everything around you so at the time of failure it is all Ann's fault (she know's I don't mean it). We are going on holiday for xmas and new year so have decided to wait til after that and then we are ready for the off again. I so can't wait for it to start again and so much of me doesn't want to do it coz of the fear of failure. Completely confused, excited amd preparing for the worst before even starting again.

Good luck to you xxxxxxx
