does any of you know how long i will have to continue taking progynova tabs & pessaries after fet? i will be 7 wks pg tomorrow and still taking 8mg of progynova and two pessaries daily.
my scan is on tuesday ( cant wait !) and im sure ill find out there , but would love to know b4 that!!!
I had to take them up to 12 weeks they said it didn't matter if you finished alittle bit before or after.

I.V.F started in 2001. 1st cycle +ve mc nov 2001 at 12 weeks. Fet mar 2002 +ve then -ve.
2nd cycle +ve eptopic oct 2002 6 weeks.
fet mar 2003 -ve. 3rd cycle over stimulated embies frozen. Fet nov 2003 +ve due 11/8/04.
Just to let you know I continued with the pessaries for a couple of weeks but then I stopped them. I had to stop them because I was bleeding but still went on to get a positive and now have a 4wk old son.

My doctors (but then I am in the Netherlands and they do some things differently here) stopped them after my 7 week scan...I was so relieved I was a bit fed up with them!

Just wanted to wish you luck for your scan tomorrow.
re the pessaries my clinic told me to start cutting them down from 9 weeks and to stop them by 12 weeks.
I'm 8 weeks today with one baby after our first attempt at ivf. We cannot believe how lucky we've been for it to work first time and we know it's still early days. It's amazing seeing the heartbeat for the first time!!!

Just noticed you had a big fat +ve with a FET. CONGRATULATIONS
Was it your 1st fet? What drugs did you take? Also, did you drink lots of water during your 2ww(I know after EC you are supposed to but wondered if the same applied to a fet as when I did my fet I did not drink much water cos did not realise I had to)

Good luck with scan - I finished mine at 9 weeks -flaming things and infact stopped a bit early as they were driving me cuckoo - naughty me
Sarah - I am pg with twins on FET - no drugs at all - this is my 2nd PG with FET - sadly Oliver died at 20 weeks
