Hi Sarah

How lovely that you are the first to post to me on this forum as you were the first to welcome me onto this site last year!

I am doing ok. I had a bit of a bad day the other day wondering why this all had to happen to me. I had a beautiful dream about Katelyn last night but of course when I woke up it all hit me again that she was gone. My emotions are all over the place which is to be expected.

I hope Katelyn is looking down now and feeling as proud as I am that this forum will help others get through a terribly hard and upsetting time. It is all for her and her boyfriend Oliver. Tracey and I often wonder what mischief they are getting up to in the best angels playground in the sky!

Take care my buddy and I hope your treatment is a complete success this time. I have everything crossed for you.

Lots of love Dagny xxx

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo how wonderful to see this - all hats off to you wonderful DAgny for getting it sorted (and DR Marcus of course!)

I was asleep after lunch so missed posting first - Sarah you got in there.
We can now discuss it all over here and people can visit when they like.

Dagny I got your email - thank you - have responded - I was smiling about OK - for all those not in the the know (which is everyone except you and I) - OK stands for Oliver and KAtelyn who are up to goodness know what in their lives. Hopefully coming up with a plan to scar off bunnies. Dagny thought of this when she put the names together - lovely isn't it.

HAve you thought of planting a tree or something Dagny? Just wondered - I am sure all sorts of ideas can be muted over here now.

We are of course not forgetting all the other special babies - Cameron Douglas, Moses Craig (anyone heard from BEcky in the US) Thornfin and all the many others.

Big hug to you Dagny and I bet Oliver and Katelyn have big gummy smiles!!! :D
Love

Hi Tracey

I emailed you straight away when I noticed Marcus was on line and saw the forum pop up before my very eyes. I was so shocked I couldn't type straight and was having all sorts of typo problems!

Yes we will plant a special tree when we do our garden up one day. Friends of ours bought us a lovely rose bush called 'Sweet Memories' and the money when you buy it goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is a lovely yellow when it flowers and it can be put into a nice pot or in the ground. Have you planted a tree for Oliver?

We are also going to name a star after Katelyn and you get a certificate with it. I like that idea and I am always looking up at the stars and talking to her.

There are so many things I want to do in her memory. I would love you to hear the song my brother wrote and performed for her funeral. I will get David to put it on a CD and I will send it to you. I have your address on your emails you have sent me.

You know the 'OK' thing? Well when someone says to me it will be 'OK' I will always have a little smile to myself knowing what OK really means to me now. I did smile as well when I thought of the two of them with their gummy smiles :) :)

I have wondered where Becky (ogr) has disappeared to. Like you said there is Katelyn, Oliver, Cameron, Moses, Thorfinn and Amy at the moment in the 'B-LAL' (babies-loved and lost) angel creche, they are all so special.

Hugs and love from Dagny xKx

WE have chosen a special tree for Oliver but luckily not purchased it yet as we are having problems as to where to plant it and have delayed it to the spring (hope he doesn't mind!) the problem is if we don't stay here forever or even too long we need to get back to visit it so we thought of outside the churchyard in the village but have to wait for the parish council - they take an age - if not we will choose another place. We too have thought of a star - wouldn't it be lovely if we could both have a star near each other!

Your brother sounds so lovely and clever - like you - it would be lovely to hear the song - do you listen to it much?
The one thing we found hard was that they couldn't get Oliver's foot prints - he was too small and they needed them intact for the pm.............
We have so few reminders but his picture will always be right at the front of our chest of drawers in the bedroom overlooking the window to the garden - whatever happens he always will have pride of place.
OK??!!!!!!! I think of that and smile - it suits them doesn't it. Gummy smiles with dribbly bits all round I reckon.
Take care
Love and hugs

Hey Tracey

You noticed the little K in between my two kisses!! :D

It is a problem as to where to put a special tree isn't it? We don't intend on moving but you never know do you? Good idea about putting Oliver's in the village by the church yard. You will always be able to visit it when ever you like. I have just got back from K's grave.....don't get me started! I am going to have to accept it aren't I that the rabbits are part and parcel of my anguish :(

I don't listen to K's song as it upsets me too much at the moment. It really is a beautiful piece. I will hopefully be able to listen to it a bit more in time.

I don't understand why they couldn't do O's footprints. They only press them in ink and put them on a piece of paper and then wash the ink off. I couldn't understand why K had black on her fingers until the midwife showed us the little memory book with her prints in. I thought she was born with grubby fingers just like her Daddy when he comes home from work.

Do you think other people will post here? We seem to be the only ones so far - oh except Sarah, sorry Sarah.

Oh well, speak soon no doubt.

Love Dagny xKx

I am sure others will post here - it's very quiet on all forums today anyway - some people seem to have more of a life. I am spitting feathers (not about rabbits) - just worked my socks off to get my first fee in and the flaming silly mary or helen in this case has turned down the job - suddenly changed her mind! Honestly bane of my life - and as for rabbits - we will have to think of something - perhaps you could borrow ARf and Jez - they love eating bunnies!

As for Oliver - remember he was younger than KAtelyn (she has a toy boy!) and was the size of 16/17 weeks and therefore very delicate - they did not want to risk doing anything prior to the post mortem and his feet were so tiny that they couldn't get an impression - she tried for a while!
Quite upsetting when I think about it- actually very upsetting.
WEll honey I am off to have a large piece of cake and stick pins in a voodoo doll of my candidates
Love and hugs

Hi Girls

Sorry to interupt but just wanted to say hi and that I think this forum is a wonderful idea.
Dagny, I hope you are doing ok, I still feel 'emotionally' attached to you since we cycled exactly to the day together, I dont always post but I usually 'read' everyday. I cant begin to imagine what you have gone through but you are an inspiration to others. I am sure Katelyn would be very proud of you.
You, Tracey and some of the others that have lost babies now have a place to chat and its all thanks to you.
Well done honey!
Lots of love

Hi Traci and Sue

Thankyou. I feel very proud and I know Katelyn will be proud of her Mummy too. Hope you are both well.

Tracey - I think Arf and Jez will think all their christmases have come at once if they were let loose in the grave yard. Hundreds bloody hundreds of 'em. Rabbits, bah humbug!

I didn't realise that the midwife tried to get Oliver's footprints. It is such a shame but at least you have a photo to cherish. I look at Katelyn's ALL the time and can't believe how beautifully formed and pretty she was. Her photo really doesn't show how small she was either. We took some other photos on the Sunday, 3 days after she died and she looked quite different so it's the photos that the midwife took on her birthday that I cherish the most.

I hope your voodoo pin sticking went well! I was watching Footballers Wive$ that I taped last night and Amber was sticking pins in her Tanya doll when I was reading your message. How spooky is that?

Love Dagny xx

I'm glad all the angel babies have a home here, and that they truely are the most loved and lost babies. It's wonderful for you to be able to talk about them in such positive terms, and i hope that you all grow strong from the support.
