None existance of periods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

I am due to start IVF treatment, but cant as my period will not come. Last period was in Jan, and in feb and march i only had spotting. Im on iron tablets at the moment due to my iron being low. Why am i not comming on. I need to do my day 2 blood test.

In Dec my period was really heavy though. It was like a
tap running.

Please i need some advice. Seen docter and she cant help.[/b]

There are so many hurdles aren't there. I really dont think I have any advice for you. This ivf game does take its toll on your patience, everything seems to take longer than we want it too. Its nearly April so it seems hell of a long time to not have a period since Dec.
Have you tried alternative medicines? A lot of people on here has said chinese medicine is good, and can regulate periods.
I really hope your period comes soon. Good luck with your treatment.

No periods has been a common thing in my life - now 31 and haven't had regular periods EVER !! Sometimes I have gone 3-4 months but more often it is every 2 months.

On hormone injections now which stimulate ovaries and generally I am having periods every 28 -30 days now.

Next step for me is IVF which I know absolutely nothing about. Need to start doing some research me thinks.....

Hi there, I had years of iregular periods - then my gp did some hormone tests and we discovered my prolactin levels are too high - so I have been on bromocriptine ever since and now they are usuallly very regular. Have you had all your levels checked?

Also, I've heard acupuncture can sometimes help things get into a more regular pattern.

Its annoying you are waiting to start and AF won't turn up! Hope she arrives soon!!!

Hi, sounds hard, if I were you I would consider going to see a chinese doctor who will work with you on acupuncture and herbal drinks, they can rebalance your periods.

I agree with Bronagh as I go to acupuncture and its fantastic , doesnt the clinic suggest anything at all!!!! I always thought they could do something to bring it on ?

Isn't it always the way!!

I have just had a failed cycle of ICSI and needed progesterone for a withdrawal bleed to start my treatment (5 days of progesterone tablets). I have never had regular periods and could of been waiting for ever to start!
I'm due to start an FET in April but will probably need another planned bleed for this!

Hi

I want to the hospital to do my 2 day blood test.
I wasnt bleeding properly though. When my IVF clinic get my results im going to find out if i can have hormone treatments. This might help me have a proper period.
