Hi
I had my 20 week scan yesterday and everything is great. I saw the spine, the kidneys, the feet, the hands and the bowel. The most of important thing of course its heartbeat which they showed first. It was the same woman as before which was great as she remembered us.
We asked the sex and we were told (sorry could not wait) but we are not telling anyone so its a surprise for them.
We are clearing out the nursery today as we are feeling alot more confident now (hope it lasts).
Another photo to add to the collection. She got a good picture to the face, facing us.
I am feeling alot more pg now.

I.V.F started in 2001. 1st cycle +ve mc nov 2001 at 12 weeks. Fet mar 2002 +ve then -ve.
2nd cycle +ve eptopic oct 2002 6 weeks.
fet mar 2003 -ve. 3rd cycle over stimulated embies frozen. Fet nov 2003 +ve due 11/8/04.

I am of course thrilled for you about the scan - you must be so relieved - just hope I can follow suit next week - I am all over the place - where you nervous?

ttc 9 years. 38 yrs old, dh 8 hrs younger!First IVF in Aug 2002 and had ectopic.2nd IVF neg.3rd FET and negative.4th FET and positive but sadly lost our little boy at 20 weeks.5th FET and Alice Isobel and Emily Charlotte born 5th Aug 2004!

Hi glad to hear everything went well with the scan. 
We've got our 20wk scan Thursday 8th @1pm. Good timing as my step-daughter who is 9yrs old and VERY excited will be with us for Easter so she can come along as well.
We also want to find out whether we are having a Henry or a Henrietta!!
It's starting to become a bit more real, as I'm sure I can feel some movement this week - feels like bubbles in tummy

Thankyou all for your messages. I have not been on all week as i am shattered. At the weekend we started the nursery and i have done to much (not that i did much). I had the most horrible pains on Tuesday night while cleaning the bath and have lasted on and off until today. I thought on Tuesday there was something bad going to happen but i put my feet up and it has started to ease. I have also had 5 visitors staying but they looked after themselves moslty. My baby loved their accents on Tuesday night it moved all the time while they were talking. I have found it really hard not to tell people what we are having and i keep slipping up but they have not noticed yet but when me and my dh call it by its name all the time i forget not to say it in public.
My nursery looks like a bomb has hit it as well as the rest of upstairs but it will look worse before it gets better. I am just taking it easy for the rest of the week now.

I have had those pains - I think they are growing pains and also our bodies telling us to slow down a bit - I had a right fright I can tell you!!
I still think you are being mean not telling me at least the sex - honestly it sending my blood pressure very high not knowing and You don't want me to suffer in my long awaited pg do you?

Ok i will tell you. My dh knew before i did because he saw its bits straight away. I am having a boy and his name is going to be Duncan James he will be named after his dad (Duncan) and my dad (James who is no longer with us). I hope no one i know logs on, we have told people we asked but they could not tell us because he was all curled up like in the photo.
If it was a girl it was to be named Charlotte Jean after our two grannies and would have been called CJ for short.
We are both thrilled he is a boy as we both secretly wanted a boy. His nick name is Little Spunky as his fathers nick name when he was a dj was Spunky Dunky and is still called Spunky by most of his mates. It seems really weird writing this but it is nice to tell someone else.

I am so pleased your scan went well and you got to see everything is in good working order. It's such a relief to get it behind you and start thinking of decorating etc. Well done.
A boy, that's great People will think you are a fan of the group 'Blue' as I think one of the singers is called Duncan James!

Most of my friends said i am having a boy too and i find it hard to not to say they are right. I was at a friends today and she asked if we had bought anything i said no just started the nursery. Her little boy is only a year and just in his nursery so she says its a waste of time getting it ready now and i may as well wait until i know what i am having (little does she know) but she has always said i am having a boy anyway.
Daddy is very excited he is always asking how he is. Felt him kick tonight for about 5 minutes it is a really weird feeling.
Alison i never felt movement until about 19 wks and it is hard to tell if that is what it is sometimes until you get use to the feeling.
Dagny is the good looking one out of blue it must be a good omen. If little spunky has his dads long eyelashes and brown eyes he will have no probems.
