CAn't believe your scan is the same day and we are days apart with twins - yikes?
I am petrified - mainly becuase of last time. Are you finding out the sex?
WE are pretty sure already from what they confirmed at the 16 wk scan but need to reconfirm as was not totally postive on one but pretty sure.
ARe you large yet?
ARe you feeling them move a lot?
I had a rotten day yesterday - was in agony - not just stretchy pains which I normally cope with but like nothing on earth - think some might have been stomach or wind or colon or something but the twins are very low down - infact can't get any lower and pressing on my bladder and very uncomfortable when they move (at least hope it is them moving and not something horrid happening) as the pressure is enormous and I can hardly walk. The fizzy and bubbly feelings have been replaced by lots of pressure - probably becuase they are much bigger and I am sure one kicked or elbowed or somehting as got a prod today higher up - just hope I am not imaginging it like last time and it is the uterus contracting - worry worry

so nice to know someone going through exactely the same. Our scan is 9.20am on Thursday!
Over the last few days I have been having really strong pains all day, which feel just like period pains. I guess (hope) this is just a growth spurt so there is extra stretching going on. Also i get a heavy feeling low down and although my bladder is full it often takes a few seconds to start flowing. As for them moving...well i keep trying to provoke them by prodding my tummy, but any movements that there have been are difficult to distinguish from trapped wind (which is an ongoing and uncomfortable daily occurence)
Still, i'm not grumbling really. I actually feel really good and not too tried either. I do get a lot of lower bad pain and hip pain just on my right side by the evening and I'm like an old woman getting into bed, but by the morning it has eased off. After this scan I will be able to enjoy this pregnancy so much more. I am already massive. I was overweight before, but am already in size XL from blooming marvellous (i'm sure they have small sizes!) so you can imagine what i look like and still have 20 weeks to go. But i don't care about that. The only thing that concerns me is I'm so unfit i won't be able to cope iwth the physical experience of giving birth (if they let me have a natural birth, which doesn't look too likely)
I'll be thinking of you Thursday morning as we both lie there trying to interrept the scanners face and not daring to say a word. All being well we will go shopping afterwards as theres so much to do, and so i'll be posting in the afternoon. I can't beleive i've got to 20 weeks already, it's gone so quickly really despite all the worrying. In another 20 we'll be holding our babes in our arms!

Helen louise - I know just the pains - AF ones were awful - calmed down now and yesterday and today all very quiet so now worried about that - what am I like. I am pretty small framed anyway - size 10 but very small bones! Now am struggling with things - the size 12 maternity jeans are definately up a few more notches on the elastic - hoping that Nikola will send me some stuff down now she is in hospital. As for unfit - i was but got the dog when I lost Oliver and now wheeze and pant myself round on a walk for an hour!
The hip pains drive me mad and both sets of ribs hurt at night I have to keep turning over - easier said than done I feel.
