Hello,
A bit of a shot in the dark i know but was just wondering if anyone out there has had any treatment done at the Woking Nuffield Hospital and if they had what they thought of the hospital and staff ? I suppose that it is the same old story i'm sure if you get the result we all desperatly want then the hospital/clinic it's the best in the world but when you get a negative you start to wonder if the hospital has done everything possible to help you and i suppose it is easier to blame the hospital or clinic.I admire everyone who is going through treatment and really hope that one day we will all have the happy ending we all deserve.
Good luck to everyone,
Nicky
I am sure there is someone who is at that particular clinic but I can't remember who it is. You are right we all deserve to get the happy ending we have all been dreaming of. We will get there one day we just have to be positive. I know what you mean also about whether your clinic or hospital have done the very best for you and only you can make that decision. My fertility team at the Mayday in Croydon have been great and I have every faith in them.
Good luck with your treatment.

Thank you so much for your reply.I didn't know that Mayday Hospital does ivf treatment infact i used to live in Croydon and still have alot of family living around the area so i am very interested in finding out more information.Do they accept private patients as we don't get any funding and have to pay for the treatment ourselves? It sounds like you are happy with the treatment that you have had at Mayday and hopefully you will get the happy ending you deserve. It has helped to find out there may be another hospital not too far away where we might be able to have another go at ivf and also to hear that you are happy with them and most importantly you have faith in them.
Thanks again,
Nicky
The Mayday fertility team are really great and have been really supportive to me as I am a bit of a pain with OHSS and shed loads of other problems. It is not our local health authority (Croydon) as we live in Redhill. East Surrey Hospital don't do IVF so we were refered to the Mayday and we got out 1st and 2nd treatment on the NHS paid for by East Surrey Hospital. Our 3rd treatment we went private through the NHS at Mayday as I didn't want to change the fertility team as they knew me inside and out. It was half the price as you only pay cost rather than profit in a fully private hospital. We paid £2,500 for the last treatment.
I do know that Croydon don't fund and that £2,500 is the price everyone pays. A friend of mine lives in Croydon and had IVF there and told me they don't fund. We were lucky that our local hospital funded our first two treatments.
I would imagine that you could go there as a private patient though. I am seeing my consultant - Mr Booker next Friday the 16th, I will ask him if you like?
I hope this all made sense as my head is still a little messed up with what happened to me and my baby - sorry
Hope you are well.
