Hi guys,
I hope someone on here can put my mind at ease.
I had Frozen Embryo Transfer on the 23/07/2021.
On day 6 I started to get brown discharge or spotting and my doc told me to do a blood test for HCG and PG.
HCG was 29.9 and PG only 10.9!!!! Very low hence the spotting.
My doctor increased the Progesterone meds drastically, spotting stopped after day and a half and now my Progesterone levels are between 30 and 40; if I take the test soon after the PG injection, it is higher. It is still low but not dangerously low.
My problem is that HCG does not double in 48 hours as it should. I was under the impression that it is ok for it to double within 48-72 hours but my doctor says that HCG is not doubling well because it takes longer than 48 hrs.
My numbers are as follows:
30/07 (day 7 after transfer) - HCG-29.9, PG-10.9
02/08 (day 10 after transfer) - HCG-102, PG-43.5 (doubling time 40hrs)
04/08 (day 12 after transfer) - HCG-192, PG-30.1 and 46.1 (took it twice that day) (doubling time 52hrs)
06/08 (day 14 after transfer) - HCG-345, PG-79.5 (doubling time 55hrs)
What worries me is that the doubling time increases with each test I take.
My doctor is not sparing my feelings and is saying that HCG is rising too slow.
I am not in a good place emotionally at the moment as it all started so well (doubling time 40hrs) but now I feel it is all coming crashing down.
I suppose I would like to hear that someone had the same problem and still went on to have a healthy baby.
My next HCG number on Monday should be at least 970 to qualify for the 48hr doubling time but I already know it won't be.
Any advice?
Thank you.
