Hi honey

I was really upset to hear your tmt hadn't worked (Tracey S told me). I came on here to send you a little message but read on another post that you wanted time away from the site for a while. So I thought I'd wait until you back again.....

I don't want you to think I'm just another one of those people that managed to get pg and doesn't understand......hey remember you and me are special cycling buddies (along with the rest of the old SCB gang!) We stick together until the end, and the end is when you, July Ann and SQUE and the rest of the gang all make it to the other side.

Now, please don't give up hope...I know things will be difficult for you and finding funding is always a nightmare, but don't ever give up hope. Keep positive that things will work out for you. Its not over till the fat lady sings - and I'm not singing!!!!!!

Keep you chin up lovely and keep smiling :)

lots of love and big hugs
your old mate, nikola.xxxx

Thanks Nikola...........

I contacted our local health trust to find out what is happening with alleged free NHS tmt....
They rang back yesterday and said they have someone investigating it now and have started registering interests so passed our details on.
They asked us to call back in Sept when they will know more about what is happening...............

The thing is I am impatient and want to start again now but our last private go(IVF with ICSI) cost £5000 with all the drugs etc.....which is lot of dough!!
My husband says for the sake of a few months we shld at least wait to see what they say and if it is no we have a few more months to save....

We have 2 frosties left........(slim chance of both surviving) so I am thinking that if NHS say we are eligible but there is a waiting list we could take the chance on our last 2 frosties......If the NHS say no, I think a fresh cycle would be best as we could pay for a frozen cycle and not even get to ET.........What do you think????
Sept seems ages away and this is only to find out...not actually start tmt which means probably not starting until end of year, early next year( I will be 35 then-does this mean I wont produce as many eggs?)

We have our follow up next week so I suppose I should wait and see what the clinic say..............

Oh well, have waffled on too long now.............

Feeling in limbo at the moment as dont know what we are doing......
Take care and look after those girls
Sarah :)

p.s shame you did not have a boy, was looking forwards to hearing about "Percy"

Oh lovely, I really do feel for you, I wish there was something I could do!! At least you are still in with a chance of some free tmt, even though Sept is such a long time to wait. At the end of the day if you knew for sure the tmt was going to work, you'd happily wait!

How much is it for fet? You know one of those two frosties could be the ONE! Don't dismiss them yet.

£5k is a lot of money - our tmt wasn't that much. Maybe you could shop around for another clinic??? Or you could always move up to Yorkshire and go to my clinic and I can look after you whilst you have your tmt!

Try not to let the whole thing get you down (easy for me to say now, I know!) I do remember what it feels like though, and I total empathise with what you are going through. I always thought the waiting was the worst part of ivf!

I had to wait three years in the system for our goes (and we were private patients!!) but here I am three years later and all the waiting and anguish is suddenly worthwhile. I truly hope that you will be sat in my position very very soon!!

Thinking of you during this awful time!

love nikola.xx

ps as for being old at 35 - Tracey Sharp is much older than you and she got LOADS of eggs!!!!

pps And I'm younger than you and I only got 4 'crappy embies' if you remember.............
