Who does Sutton NHS use?

Post by jass »

Some people say Sutton use Mayday, some say they use King's....how can one NHS hospital - St Heliers - use different transport clinics?

We're as confused as h*** and don't know what to do!

What clinic does Sutton use for IVF?

Hi Jass, I have tried to find out by searching on the internet but that hasn't helped, I will ring my nurse tomorrow for you as she is lovely and I'm sure she will know as we are quite local. I'll post tomorrow night to let you know

Hi Jass

I am not sure but I will hopefully be speaking to my fertility team at the Mayday today (if they don't ring me heads are going to roll - but that's another story  ) and I will ask if they know.

See ya :P

Hi Jass

Just spoke to one of my nurses and she said St Helier have just started to use the Bridge Center, they used to use King's. There is about a 2 year waiting list and when you get to your go it will be one free treatment. She said that this information isn't 100% but it is to the best of her knowledge.

I hope it helps.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Jass, Hope you have managed to find out some more, Dagny did better than I did, I had a major surfing session at work (oops) and didn't come up with much and then kept getting the answerphone at the clinic so not a lot of help there.
Good luck and keep us posted
lots of love

Hi and thanks for your information - it's real cloak and daggers stuff this. Does this mean that Sutton use Mayday in Croydon as a clinic for the transport to Bridge?

Hi Jass

As far as I know you have your treatment at St Helier and egg collection. Your DH will then take the eggs in a special box up to the Bridge Center either by train or car or whatever and do his bit ( ) and then the embryologist fertilises the eggs there. You then go up there for ET (embryo transfer). I may be telling you what you may already know - sorry if I am. This is the procedure at the Mayday too. Like I said before St H used to use Kings but now they use The Bridge.
