Post by Dolly »

Hi there, I saw your message at the bottom of the CAMEO post and thought I would start a new thread.

I'm not doing too bad. We had a week in Italy last week which was fantastic timing - although it was a bit touch and go whether I was going to be fit enough to fly only 4 days after the op... but luckily I was feeling much better so was able to go. I have also got a counselling session booked for next week - I found that really helped me after my last m/c.

Hows things with you? I read your post about the letter you received from the clinic - that must have been v. upsetting for you. When do you think you will be starting stims?

Love

Dolly

PS: happy belated birthday!!! Did you have a good day? Don't worry 36 isn't such a bad age!! (I'll be 37 next month!!).

Hiya Dolly

I am so glad you had a good break in Italy. You really deserved a nice holiday after all you have been through. What a relief you were well enough to travel.

I hope your councelling session helps. I go to one but it's a general one for everything and I can just rant or talk, laugh or cry depending on my mood or what has happened since the last one and I find it does help me to get things off my chest.

Yeah that letter from the clinic was a right kick in the guts, I couldn't believe it. I haven't filled it in yet, I will take my time and the HEFA can bloody wait!

I will be starting my stimms on Friday all things going well. I am back on the rollercoaster again, something I thought I would never have to do. Oh well

Being 36 is a bit scary. I have never had a problem with my age until now. I'll be knocking on the door or 40 soon

Hope to see you at CAMEO if I feel up to it. I'll be on my 2ww and tend to get OHSS so we'll have to see.

Have you got any follow uo appointments at all?

'Speak' soon

Hi there,

I am going to make an appointment to see our consultant - i don't really think we need one - but dh wants to go through things before we start again.

You wait until you feel ready to fill in the form. I had a screw up happen to me when I was in hospital. A nurse came into my room the morning after my operation and said "now, I need to talk to you about what contraception you are going to use going forward"...!!!!! Fantastic when I have just had my last remaining tube removed..... I couldn't believe it... I just calmly said "I suggest you go out and check you are talking to the right person"..... didn't see her again!!!

Hopefully you will move on to the next stage on Friday. How are you feeling? I get terrible headaches on Buserelin.

Take care

Dolly

Sorry just butting in (actually not sorry at all  ) you two have always made me so proud the way you handle stuff and we are all the buggered tube variety aren't we.

Dagny you know my feelings on your tmt - can't wait for you to get pg again! I am 38 July 15th so hope for you both! Dolly so glad you had a nice holiday!
As for the silly nurse - I had the same after my first IVF and the ectopic - an SHO came around and said to me "well that won't happen again - you should never find yourself in the position of this again so don't worry about being pg ever again" I gave her my best shrivelling Paddington Brown hard stare and told her in no uncertain terms to flaming well read my notes and I am IVF!!! She shrank to something the size of an ant and slinked off! I ask you.

Good luck to you both - I know you can do it
Love

Hi Dolly and Tracey

Some nurses eh?? You would think that they would listen to their briefing at the beginning of their shift as well. Dumbo's!!!

I don't seem to get headaches with Buserelin but I do with the Puregon. My AF has done a runner which is a relief. I was bleeding so much for 9 days but I think it was to do with my reflexology. I will deffo be starting stimms on Friday, which is tomorrow  Gosh where has the time gone?

I hope you get to see your consultant soon and get back onto the IVF programme. We would have been buddies but I will keep a close eye on you when you do start.

Take care

I'm here guy's :D

Had a day off the site yesterday. I started stimms last night. Seemed to have gone ok. It's a pain injecting 3 times a day as I can't find a place on my legs that isn't sore or bruised :( .

Fed up with the weather :x

Good luck Dagny,
I am hoping and praying that you get the right result.

Have you tried injecting in your tummy?? I had to inject 3 times a day and found it much easier there, honest.

Thinking of you, take care

Hi Lisa

Thanks, yeah, I think I am getting to the stage where I will have to inject into my tummy. I may do that tonight. Were you on Buserelin down regging too? I got into a panic as I couldn't remember if I was supposed to inject the down reg as well as the stimm drug in the evening. It was too late to ring anyone so I had to wrack my brains to my last treatment and I am sure I am doing it right  You would think it being the 4th time I would know but my brain is mush right now.

Thanks for thinking of me Lisa. How are things going with you? Not long now is it?

Love Dagny xkx

Hi Dagny,
thanks I am now nearly 37 weeks, so not long to go.

I was injecting Buserelin and if I remember rightly (which after so many times with different things I might not be  ) I injected the Buserelin morning and night and the Menopur at night just after the Buserelin.

We are all rooting for you, hope the bruising isn't to bad.
Good luck
Love Lisa x
