Please tell me i'm not alone in feeling like this. I get up in the morning around 9am, have breaky whilst watching TV, have a play on the computer and another sit down, try and do something not very strenuous. After lunch my 5 minute rest turns into a 2 hour sleep. Then i make dinner and go to bed early!
I am loving my time being a lady of leisure and apart from triedness feel really great (apart from birth worries of course!) I am relishing this time doing nothing because i know it won't last for many more weeks.
Other 'symptoms' are the achey hips and back if i bend down too much. Still can't actually believe i'm 33 weeks and feeling so good!
What do others feel like now?

Hi Helen
pleased you are feeling well.
I am also very tired but lack of sleep during the night is a problem and if I can get back to sleep about 6.00am I find I can sleep for about 3 hours (luxury). My back/legs and hips ache nearly continually and not sure if these are braxton hicks but get a low down pain in my groin which makes me stop whatever I am doing but only lasts about 3 seconds so not sure what they are.
Its strange because you have never been in this situation before so not sure what to expect. The only definate advice I get is when I go into labour - I will know about it
Now 36 and 1/2 weeks can't believe where the time has gone, have enjoyed a good pregnancy though. What sort of birth are you expecting to have? do you get an option? which way are your babies??
Know exactly how you feel. I don't sleep very well at night as my hips ache so much, I have a wedgy pillow for bump and a pillow between knees for support but the hips still ache!!
It's murder trying to stay at work for another three weeks and trying to study for an OU course but I'm determined not to give up. At least we all know it will be worth it in the end, we've waited so long for this.
Have you bought everything you need now?
Lisa I hope to have a natural birth at local maternity unit but never say never!! Baby is head down and has been since week 24.
Hi - 32 weeks this week and I feel great. It helps that the most I stir/get up is once a night for a piddle. The only niggle I get is the very tops of my thighs/very very low groin pain, but it wears off once I start walking about. Still managing to ride my horse, but trot is a no, no now so it's walk and canter only - you probably think I am MAD it's a great form of exercise and it helps keep the ol' pelvic muscle tight!! Can not believe how quickly the pregnancy has gone, finishing work 23rd July, taking 4 weeks holiday, then 6 months Maternity Leave starts. So long may it continue that we all feel so good
Sammie
Sammie, your pelvis must be in great shape
Mine will be absolutely knackered by the time these arrive. I was doing star jumps at aquanatal and everytime I jumped it felt like baby 1 was coming out!!!!
Lisa, you are doing really well, lots going on with work and an OU course, does the course finish for the summer?? hopefully then you will get some well earned time off - although you will be far to busy to rest of course
I need to buy more sheets/blankets etc not sure how much I will need and how many for the moses baskets then the cot bed and the pram - all are different sizes of course!! have a few in so will see how I go and how sickly the babies are. We have the cots but haven't put them up, the pram, car seats etc are still at the shop wasn't planning on bringing them home until the babies have been born. Silly really just don't know what to do for the best.
Take care and lots of sleeping dust being sent around.
Love Lisa x
We have everything organised ( well as much as is possible) and I feel as if i am just waiting now, which i am i suppose. I feel that i don't want to do too much each day (ie. hanging out the washing and making dinner is enough) because i want to keep my feet up and make them stay put for as long as possible. To be honest, i am quite lazy, but know it won't be for long so am savouring it.
Twin 1 is head down, so as long as all goes well with him, twin 2 who is breech at the mo should follow. They will decide whats best at the next growth scan at 36 weeks. I'm drinking plenty of milk now to get the weights up. Should be doing pelvic floor exercise, but keep forgetting!
Bags packed. Just have to come to terms with the fact i'm having 2 babies now!!

Sleep what is that up all night have piddles and then have to turn over every hour as hips ache - have two bump cushions - one each side and a pillow between the legs!
Done no pelvic floor exercises as Jules told me would have no time for weeing with twins so would develop a cast iron one
Bags half packed - need to get sorted - nappies take up so much room. Lisa can't believe the car seats etc are still at the shop but understand why!
Riding a horse Sammie - I would not be able to get on or off
Lisa loon pants - so glad all goig well - have just had some photos off Woppa today - gorgeous! Soon your turn!
Well must go for more sleep - I have 1-2 hours at lunchtime and takes me 20 mins to get off the settee - that's the life.
Timmy Henny calls!

As Tracey said, you really don't need to do the pelvic floor exercises if you're having twins. I now have the strongest pelvic floor muscles ever after being reduced to 1 wee a day on the busiest days with newborn twins!!!
Lisa, don't buy too much bedding. It's the one thing that we bought too much of because sheets and blankets can be folded over several times over little babies. And we moved to Grobags when they were not that old so lost all the blankets.
Can't believe you're all so close to having all of these babies, it's very exciting!

glad to hear you are all feeling so well apart from the obvious aches and pains. I am 33 weeks this week and also feeling really tired. I too am haivng difficulty sleeping and like Tracey have one pillow wedged either side of me and one in between my legs and I am only having one! I have been told that the baby is above average wait and that he is tall (?)
The nursery is done and dusted now, very tranquil cream and beige with a teddy bear theme (I love teddy bears!!) just waiting for my cot bed and changer to arrive. Still got to get my pushchair & car seat. Have decided to go for a travel system as they seem quite good.
I am planning on breastfeeding and was wondering about breast pumps, I asked my midwife about which ones were best and she told me not to bother getting one until after the baby was born and I was sure I was going to continue breatfeeding which makes sense I suppose but doesn't say much for them trying to encourage mums that breast is best. She also told me not put a cot bumper on the cot (already bought one!!) as they make baby too hot. Any advice on breast pumps or cot bumpers from you girlies??
Still got four weeks to go before finishing work and can't wait, will be able to devote myself full time to Big Brother then before Daniel shows up!!
Jules R - did you get the latest piccies off Woppa - if not I will send?
Have got grobags too so not overly worried about the blanket situation - especially in this weather!
Jules K - nightmare this rearranging pillow thing - I have two cot bumpers - one for each - Humphrey and very nice - they will be down the other end of the cot anyway in the "feet to foot" - some advice not to and others say ok. As for breast pumps - I want to mix and match - breast and bottle (either formula or expressed or both) with the twins - if I can and have plumped for the AVENT Bottles with a couple of DR Browns just in case of bad colic and then the MEDELA battery/mains pump as did not want to keep bothering by hand and all my friends that have used them swear by them - they use the big ones of those in hospital I believe - got it off EBAY (suprise suprise ) as she could not breast feed so never used it!
Good luck in choosing!

Like Tracey, i'm planning on mixing breast and bottle so i've got a pump already as i am trying to be organised and didn't want to have to send DP out with a list of things when we get back frm hospital. I just hope the hospital are good and don't try to make me think i am being unrealistic by hoping to feed 2. They say perseverance is the key, so i'm going to give it my best shot.
Anyone having braxton hicks contractions yet?? All i get from time to time is a mild period type pain (remeber those!) low down, but i don't think that can be it.

Good on you for trying to breast feed 2 - my midwife said it was all I would do so decided anyway before that that I would try and mix up then DH can get involved! What breast pump did you get?
Timmy is on now as Hewitt has just won.
I get those lovely AF type pains and can be a sod a night - very intense - sometimes we don't feel braxton hicks at all tho babies do.
Take care sleepy head!

Thanks for the photos of Joshua, Tracey - he's beautiful (Daniel and Charlotte agree, as I'm typing this as they eat their tea). I haven't had Woppa's photos though.
I used an Avent hand pump and found it easier to use than the electric pump in hospital. I tried feeding both babies initially but Daniel didn't take to it so we swapped him to bottles at 2 weeks old (it was a really hard decision but the right one for him and me). I continued to give him at least one expressed feed a day until he was weaning because my Health Visitor said that it would help with immunity so I still needed a breast pump for my bottlefed baby. I'd recommend getting one now because we practically had to search the whole of West Sussex to get one on the day that we finally decided to put him onto bottles!
We were advised not to use cot bumpers but ended up buying them when Daniel and Charlotte were about 4/5 months old because they kept on getting their legs stuck through the bars of the cot (we put them at the foot end).
I never got Braxton Hicks, or even a contraction so don't worry Helen!

I am also hoping to breast feed. Have bought Avent hand pump as recommended in P&B Mag. I bought a breast feeding pillow from Mothercare so now I just hope it works out okay.
I have a moses basket that Mom in law made 40 odd years ago and it's really sweet and then I have bought a brand new cot bed off e-bay (bargain) I bought one of those saferbaby cot sleepers that stop the baby sliding down. I am also hoping to use grobags asap, glad you guys recommend them.
Lisa Ch- Ou course finishes October with a three hour exam so better express some milk for hubby
It's so exciting to see so many of us nearly there. I think this is the happiest I've been in a long time and I'm still in awe of every movement inside.
