tested too early too, but positive test....

I was going to ask the same question...

but i don't dare anymore...

i tested today, a week after embryo-tranfer, and is it positive... i take progestanpills (white pills to be put inside) and my pregnylinjection was 13 days ago....

any commends?

I am probably not the best person to be online with this question Alette. I am busting to test but it's this sort of thing that can throw a spanner in the works. I do know that the progesterone pills can mess up the pregnancy tests and it is terribly early really. I am sure you have read the posts from Loopylou who tested 5 times and it was neg and then the blood test showed positive and then Teresa who tested early 5 times and got positives each time - it's a lottery.

I would wait a few days and then test again to see what that shows up but I wouldn't know if it's good or not, sorry.

Hope it is a positive in the end for you. I am on day 5 and don't test till the 26th and am desparate to

Hi girls, I took a hpt on day 8 after ivf. It came out negative. I am sooooooooo bummed. Although I've heard it is way too early. When is not too early? anyone? I am taking progesterone suppositorys and am on pio injections. I took a 1/2 cc injection of HCG last tuesday. which I thought for sure it would show a positive. I'm so confused.

I am advised by the hospital:

2 weeks after transfer of embryo's

or

18 days after punction

(correct me please if i don't use the proper terms)

I can't understand why the wait is different for different methods. I heard that implantation after the actual transfer takes 3 to 4 days - so in reality we are taking the test waaaay to early. (that makes me feel better saying that anyway). It just feels like it has been 2 year not 2 week wait. are you on any other meds now?

What I understand:

day of punction is day 0

real conception is day 1

day 5 is hatching and nestling in?

but in nature it is the same....

when you have ovulation, conception is the day after...

What I was thinking is.... (i am always very regular, when I feel ovulation 2 weeks later I have menstruation) .... why don't I test 2 weeks exactly afer punction.... (i read this on the Dutch messageboard)

Yes I am on progestan now, this is to help the nestling (again, please correct me my expressions, I am Dutch).

Are you on medication Tammie?

I think it is safe to say that you should test 14 days after embryo transfer, NOT before!!!

It is usual for it to be 2 weeks for practically all clinics in most countries.

Your normal cycle does not really come into it as all the suppression drugs and stimms drugs mess your natural cycle up so how can your body know if it's coming or going???

Try to be strong - I am, for now but we must help eachother through it. Honestly you lot make me look like an angel compared to you and your early testing!!!

do not test, please you will only get yourself in a state, please please please please and from Joshua please wait ,you have enought stress getting thorough 2ww without testing early.

What are you guys like .... trying to test sooo early. It is definitely 14 days after et.
I thought it was 12 days after fet but no the clinic has still said 14 days.
I must admit I think I will do a day early this time - but not 8 days early.

I'm only on day 3 of 2ww - aaaaggghhhhh.

Hi Im the crazy girl who tested on day 8 after transfer. I was just hoping to see a + . I had taken a 1/2 cc of HCG on tuesday the 13th and took the HPT on thursday the 15th. I thought for sure it would show + just because of the HCG but it was -. Still kind of confused by that. I am definetly waiting for the real blood test now.

It's ok I have discovered this thread and you are RIGHT

I just don't believe what I am reading - luckily you have escaped me and my nagging and bullying (Dagny will confirm) What are you doing testing so early

You can't as Dagny says (and do listen to your own advice honey) test so early. If it comes up positive you worry as drugs still in your system and they can be so in this case can be a false positive but you just don't know. If it is a negative you worry it's all gone wrong (Loopy will confirm on this one) WE are not "normal" reproduction so my clinic says 16 days as it plays the cautious card. Stay away from them. I did one the night before my test this last time and was positive but had no drugs as natural FET and my AF would have been due 4 days before - my clinic even makes you wait 16 days after ET for a natural FET!
Stay away and don't give yourselves the headache.

I tested yesterday and the test was negative....

and then...

I don't even dare to tell .... (but okay, since you insist)
