Okay, I have a question and I hope some of you can help. I had a transfer Friday even though I am at risk for OHSS. The doctor told me if I am going to get symptoms they will most likely start on Wed. Here is my question starting today and getting worse as the day goes along I have started getting pains from my ovaries similiar to when I was stimming. Has anyone else expereinced anything like this with OHSS or without?
The doctor told me not to be disappointed if I do not get sick----OHSS=a probable pregnancy, but I just was wondering if this was OHSS or am I going crazy. Well, I suppose I can answer that question because I want the OHSS just so I can know something is happening.
Nuttier than a loon on the dreadful 2ww.

I haven't had OHSS, but know that the other symptoms of this are :
Breathing difficulties
Nausea and vomiting
faintness
Reduced urinatoin
.....have you got any of these .....?
On my last cycle, I had pains in my ovaries, but as far as I can remember these began before EC and then continued right through ET and beyond ...sorry, not much help.

I had mild OHSS on my last cycle, apart from the general soreness you have, I was bloated and my stomach was sore.
My consultant advised me to drink lots of fluids - at least 3 litres per day, water and fruit juice (but no fizzy drinks!) and to drink a glass of milk in the morning and the evening. Along with this, I was also advised to eat more protein, as this counteracts the effects. It worked, as I only really suffered the effects for about 3 days before things settled down.
if you are at risk, then I would do this as a preventive measure, it won't harm.
