Hi Guys

Thanks for your replies!! Its nice to know that Im not alone in all this, although its not nice to know that people have problems obviously!

Michelle:what kind of lifestyle changes can I make? Its the motility thats the problem for us - so maybe i could help us out - or maybe im clinging to straws? did the baby thing work out for you yet?!

Jools:I Have just read your posts about your tearfulness and Im sorry that you are feeling so low. I haven't been through it (yet), but it sounds like a lot of the girls out there are being very supportive and telling you trying to reassure you, i hope it is helping! and Im sure its natural to feel like that. Im sorry you have had such a problematic time! I really wish you all the best and hope it works out for you now you have decided to try IVF. Good luck and fingers crossed - at least you realise that all is not lost! Keep me informed!

Thanks again

Hi Toni

I'm feeling a bit better today, apart from trying to keep my eyes open! I'd forgotten how much my eyes swell up after a good crying sesh!

I read a while ago that the vitamin Co-Enzyme Q10 is supposed to help with sperm quality as does zinc. For the Q10, DH is supposed to take 200 mg daily for 3 months before it takes effect, but when I was looking for it, I couldn't find a higher dosage than 50mg, so I told DH to take 2 a day plus a zinc suppliment, it is expensive though at about £30 for a bottle! But when you break it down against what IVF will cost, it's a small price to pay if it does make a difference. If all is well with you, and if his count is fairly high anyway, it's worth a shot! Our Dr won't put DH for another test, so I don't know if it's made any difference, but you never know. Hopefully his little swimmers will be a bit stronger and give us a better chance at the IVF!

I'll be off line between 2nd and24th September as that's when we're having our tmt in Italy, but I'll be back on the board as soon as I can with any news! I'm really going to miss this, even though I only found this site about a fortnight ago! It's been invaluable. :)

Take care

Jools xxx
