changing formula milk for Alex what you think?

Post by bubblymichelle »

Hi Girls,

Well I have been having a few problems with Alex he is on Cow & Gate Hungrier babies milk but had problems where he has not been drinking it. If I have managed to get him to have 7oz in 24 hours that is all that I have managed.

I have been speaking to my health visitor and she said as long as he is having solids then he should be ok but I mentioned about changing his milk and she said I could give it a try.

Well I have tried him on Farleys this morning and he's drank 9oz and also had is breakfast. What feedback does anyone have on Farleys? I have found him to be a little sick though but I don't know if this is because he is rolling round on the floor.

Anyway best go cus he is trying to pull at my trousers now.

Love & Hugs
Shell.

Hi Shell,

I still feed Sam once a day myself, but the rest of the time he's on Aptimil Extra and I know it's what the neo-natal unit used before my milk came in.
- mind you, am going to ask the health visitor this week if he should be on follow on milk???

Do you give Alex milk any other way? You'd easily get 150ml of milk mixed in with a cereal if he loves his food that much...just a suggestion!

Hope things are better your end...

Shell,

My two thirved on Farleys, they were given it from SCBU days and both seemed to really get a lot of good out of it.

The second stage milk really helped Ross put on weight while he was weaning.

Good luck

Well still not doing very good with the milk situation with Alex, I have spoke to my health visitor who said providing he is eating solids she is not to concerned about him.
He had to be weighed on Wednesday and he's lost 2oz but they said they are not concerned about that either they said he could lose weight now because of how active he is becoming.
Does the worry ever stop?
Hope all is ok with everyone else.
