Yikes - red bleeding.

Post by alicia »

Hello all. Sadly, I've been having bright red bleeding all morning, despite resting in bed as advised. It isn't a lot and I haven't been cramping, but it doesn't look too good.

I'm going in for an ultrasound tommorrow to see if either of the twins is still there.

HI there
AM no expert - but I have been on these boards long enough to know that bleeding is REALLY common and usually nothing to worry about especially with no cramping - remember your insides have taken quite a bashing over the last few months - as things settle down a bit you CaN get a bit of aftermath
(My clinic told me that 90% of their patient bleed at some point, and that its fine)

REALLY REALLY hope everything goes okay tomorrow - will be keeping everything crossed

Alicia,
Your post brought tears to my eyes, which is very silly since I don't really know you. You and the little blobs  will very much be in my thoughts. Stay off your feet and let us all know about what happens with your scan.
Love,

i had alot of bleeding when i was pregnant with my twins. had huge amount of clots. i thought for sure one of them where my twins. and it wasnt.. my twins where ok..

i did mc but that was because of my crevics. it didnt have anything to do with the bleeding.

sorry that you have to wait.
i will pray for you and your family.

Thank you so much for your posts. It hasn't stopped, but hasn't gotten worse today. My scan is at 1:00pm tommorrow. I'm hoping for good news and will let you know how it went as soon as I can.

Thank you for being there.

Hi Alicia,

I am so sorry you have to go through this! As everyone else has said, bleeding is so common! My doctor office has called me to ask if I have had any bleeding because they saw blood in my uterus on my last ultrasound and they are expecting me to bleed -- with no worry to the baby. The blood could really be anything and your little blobs can still be safe and sound. I know all of this doesn't mean a thing until 1:00pm tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts and my prayers. Please let us know after your scan tomorrow.

Please take care of yourself and just rest and stay in bed until you go for your scan.

Love,

Alicia, I just wanted to say I'm thinking of you whilst you wait for the ultrasound. I'm sure everything will be OK.

I bled during my successful pregnancy - at which point everyone I knew told me they had too - it's just not usually discussed with friends and family.

Fingers crossed,
love
Debra.

Hi Alicia,
I just noticed you are having twins - welcome to the club (I am just about to have mine, I hope). Good luck at the scan. I also bled in this pregnancy and later read somewhere that one cause may be that twins may lead to more stretching of the uterus. It did not do any harm with me but the stress is enormous. I hope the scan reassures you and will be looking for your news.

Alicia
I just popped over to see how everyone is doing and saw your news. I am crossing my fingers for you. I would just like to say that I bled for 4 weeks when carrying my twins and my friend and cousin bled as well, so it is not uncommon. The only way to know will be when you have your scan.
Good Luck I am thinking positive thoughts for you.

Alicia:

Good luck with your scan. I'm sorry you're having bleeding..which leads to panic. As everyone has been saying that a lot of people experience the same thing with healthy pregnancies. I can't imagine what your body has to go through to house twins!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much for all your kind messages and support. They have all been so helpful and have managed to keep me from freaking out.

I had the scan and both embies are doing fine! We saw their tiny little heartbeats for the first time and their size is on track. They don't know what is causing the bleeding, but it doesn't seem to indicate anything amiss.

I can't thank you enough for being there for me. Don't know what I would do without each one of you. :)
