Hi Angela.

Of course no-one minds you posting here. We can understand your reluctance to post on the other side! We are all so pleased for you. You will have your hands full with twins won't you, but you have double the result for your money. You are very lucky. I am glad you could see the faint heartbeats & I hope in 2 weeks time they are a lot stronger. You must be so excited. Try & rest a lot. I should imagine you would really need it with all the extra you will be carrying for the next 7 months or so. Please do continue to keep us all posted on your progess, we really would love to hear how you get on. Although we are not that lucky, it doesn't mean we can't be pleased for you & don't want to hear about your great experience!

Hope you keep well & are not feeling too sick!

Love & best wishes to you & hubby & once again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D

Hi Angela

Firstly many congratulations on the sucess of your pregnancy with twins - you must be over the moon, can I please ask where you had your treatment? I am considering starting IVF in January and I don;t know which clinic to use, I live in the UK near London. All the very best to everybody.

Which Clinic

Post by Mandy Miller »

Hi Kyla.

I have just read your message to Angela about which clinic. I see you live near London. I have been going through my hospital in Harlow for scans, but both times have had the EC & ET at the Bridge Centre at London Bridge. They are very good. Obviously it hasn't worked for me yet, but they do seem to have a good track record & are very sympathetic & caring. They are however quite expensive to go through them for the whole process. We just paid our hospital & they put us through them for the operations etc so we paid a set fee. It cost us around £3,500 each time for ICSI, but the Bridge Centre may charge more if you get the drugs from them & have the full treatment there. Our drugs came from a pharmaceutical company recommended by our hospital. The Bridge Centre do have a website, so it might be worth your looking them up. They have the prices listed on there & I went to one of their Open Days a while ago & they are thinking of making regular weekend Open Days, so it might pay you to check them out, as they tell you a lot about the process etc & you can ask the consultants questions. I found it quite convenient there if you live in London, its right next to London Bridge Station.

Good luck with your treatment. If anyone tells you its easy, they would be lying, its not, but all we can hope is that its worth it in the end, eventually!!! You can get through it. Chocolate after the jabs helps a lot & a bear to cuddle I find!!!

Love & best wishes, Mandy (Miller) xxx :)

Congratulations Angela!

It sounds like your scan at Kings was very similar to ours and I hope that you have the same fantastic outcome that we did.

We're just going through the necessary tests again before being referred to Kings for our next cycle of ICSI; I hope that it's as successful as yours.

Hi Angela

Congratulations on the twins :D :D

You can post where ever you want, we all want to hear that kind of news.

I can understand you feeling a bit funny moving on to the other board, you could always keep toes in both boards for the time being.

Wishing you a happy pregnancy

Hi Angela, that is fantastic news.. CONGRATULATIONS.. :D

It is great to hear your news and I can understand 100% how difficult it is to move over to the "other side", I'm sure once you have your next scan you will feel more confident.

Keep us posted on how your next scan goes.

Hi Ang,

Congratulations on expecting twins!! :D

I think I tested positive around the same time as you and I know exactly how you feel about going over to the other board. I've read some of the posts on there but not yet brave enough to post a message there.

I also had my 6 wk scan on Wednesday. Had an early scan because I previously had an ectopic so was desperate to know that it was in the right place this time! Pleased to say that it is. Just the one. We saw the flicker of the heartbeat too. I was so relieved. We have waited so long to get this far and sometimes thought that we never would. I hadn't realised how much the tension had built up. I cried my eyes out when we saw the heartbeat and couldn't stop for ages. I think that the lady doing the scan thought I was totally nuts. I asked for a picture and I think that she thought was a bit crazy too, seeing as it just a tiny speck. It is so so precious to us though.

I too have another scan in 2 wks time. Keep us updated.
Rest lots and spoil yourself. You deserve it, as does everyone else going though this infertility journey.

Congratulations Ang and Barney.

I took awhile to get to the other side after my positive too. We will be waiting for you when the time comes. I too am having twins, 21 weeks on Sunday. The worrying never stops but we all support each other. I live from 1 scan to the other. It makes you feel so much better when you see the tiny heartbeats on the screen. I had trouble registering that those blobs were actually inside me. It becomes more real as you get bigger, and with twins that will be sooner rather than later!!

Good luck and best wishes for you pregnancies.
