Christmas "get together" thoughts ....

Post by Jo Locker »

.... I know we can't really get together, and this might sound a bit mushy but it comes from the heart.

I think it would be nice if we chose a time on Christmas day just to each have a minutes thought or prayer for and about each other, our babies, and especially those not so fortunate. Those of us blessed with IVF success have all had "those" Christmases when you feel so much that another year has come and gone, and the feelings it brings.

Well there's lots of reasons, too many to mention, but I just think it would be lovely to know that at, say, 10am (or whenever) we are all taking a minute to be "together" in spirit, to celebrate, and also support every single person in the group, whichever board they post on and whatever their history.

Oh go on, call me an old softie. Anyone for this idea?? Bit like the minutes silence idea for remembrance day.

Lots of Love - Jo. XXX

Me too - I think it's a lovely idea Jo. Sometimes you do stop and think about it all for a while, and I think it would be a very special moment on Christmas day.

well thought!

:? I meant to say that we are not parents yet, but have not given up. But it is really nice to think that you think of us all on the board whichever part we use. Jjj x

Course we do JJJ - it wasn't that long ago that we were all on the general forum hoping and praying - sharing all the emotions that ivf brings - and supporting each other through both failures and successes.

I think i speak for us all when I say that there isn't a day that goes by that we don't give thanks to God for our precious miracle babies.

Life is so cruel sometimes, and IVF is so upsetting and hard to go through - I just hope and pray that we'll all be over on the Parent's site together.

wishing you a big truck load of baby dust!

Jo - I agree that this is a wonderful idea, and was very touched at you thinking of others still going through tmt, or thinking about giving up. People who have been through infertility tmt, whatever the result, have an understanding of each other that people who haven't been through it can't ever properly understand. I will be thinking at 10am about all the people I've "met" through these boards, and the support they've offered me and each other over longer than I care to think about!
