No advice DebraP, just a simple no on my request to go on....

my age (40) is the reason.

I'm so sorry. I don't think 40 is too old but maybe that's because I'm 40 as well.

Take very good care of yourself and give yourself (and DH) lots of time. I've felt irrationally angry about my failed attempts for many, many months. If it's available, ask your clinic for a referral to someone to talk to. Someone familiar with treatment and how it makes women/couples feel. Talking to DH about it will also be very important. Take care.

hugs
Debra.

Hey, Alette .... I'm so sorry this last treatment didn't work out. I know how horrible you must be feeling. You must take some time to try to relax, and spend some quality time with Onno.

Thinking of you both

Alette,

I am surprised that your Clinic wants to stop offerring you treatment at just 40. I know that at Bourne Hall in Cambridge where they pioneered the treatment, that they will accept beyond this age. Would you possibly consider using another Clinic?

I hope you are able to choose for yourselves what the right decision for your future may be, instead of your Clinic dictating to you! It seems ridiculous to me that their limit should be just 40, I know of several friends who have even conceived naturally in their early forties and have had perfectly healthy babies.

I cannot imagine how you are feeling at the moment, both me and dh have said that this was our worst Xmas, after me misscarrying so early in the end and just two days before Xmas. We are both feeling hopeless about it all. I'm now facing the after effects with the Endo pain ontop just to make me feel even worse. My dh is struggling to come to terms with it all and now his father has been diagnosed with Cancer. Its all too much, life can be so cruel.

My thoughts are with you at this time. Take good care of yourself and dh.

Lots of Love and Hugs

Thank you all for your sweet words.

I do not know what to do next.

first I have a talk with my counsellor.
I would like to know the real reason why, too old is not a good argument for me.
My fsh is low (4.4) my eggs are of good quality and quantity.
fertilisation is okay.
I do not have hope for this hospital. I think they will stick to their NO.

I would like to have one more ivf.
We are looking for a hospital in Belgium.
But all this driving to Belgium, back and forth, staying there... we are talking about it....

I hope that 2005 will be a happy year for all of us....

Alette,

I hope that your meeting with your councellor is helpful to you both and that you finally get a real answer from your Clinic.

Good luck with your decision whichever way you choose, it must be what is best for you!

Make sure that your puppie is looking after you and giving you lots of love.

Sending you lots of caring huggs. Wishing you a better New Year in 2005!!

You poor little Chick, how awful. I do agree with Lindy, try Bourne Hall in Cambridge. My brother's friend works there, only good things to say about Bourne Hall! Not sure where you live but surely thats an option to try. Huh? Chin up girl. Try to smile! :)
