Has anyone out there ever had / or are having treatment at Mayday?
Please can you give me some info on how the treatment there was handled, and if it worked... ?
Thanks.
Hi, yes I had two treatments at mayday. Sadly they didn't work and I have now adopted a daughter. The staff at Mayday are brilliant and I felt fully supported. It was just as good as the private TMT I had. The only bad bit is the eggs have to go off to the bridge centre for fert and ET. Mayday is funded by NHS so can never be a bad thing can it? best of luck
Alice
I have copied and pasted my reply from your other thread asking about clinics and the Mayday as you may have missed it.
Hello Nes
How strange that you should post now. I have been absent from here for ages and have just logged on and seen your post.
I have had all 5 of my tmt's at the Mayday under the wonderful Mr Booker and I can safely say that it is great. I have had 2 BFP's out of 5 so I think that makes me 40% success! Unfortunately I had a prem daughter at 24 weeks who sadly died nearly a year ago and have just suffered a recent m/c at 9wks a few weeks ago.
The Mayday are a transport hospital and you have all tmt at the Mayday up to egg collection and then the eggs are taken by DH/DP to the Bridge Center to be fertilised and you have embryo transfer up there.
The fertility team at Mayday (Julie Tucker, Terry Morgan, Dr Subha and Mr Booker) are wonderful and the team at the Bridge - I always have Julia Dobson are equally lovely.
If there is anything else you need to know don't hesitate to ask. Have we spoken before when you were thinking of moving to the area? My memory is terrible!!!
