vascetomy/sperm aspiration

I thought i would send this as i haven't noticed a similar story and thought someone may take hope from this.

My hubby and I had ICSI because he had a vascetomy when married to his first wife. We had it reverseed which had worked so i went on the pill and tried to get pregnant when we were married a year later, anyway i didn't fall pregnant (i had not problems) as it had reverse itself again. My hubby had to have a little op called sperm aspiration, which is getting the sperm from the source, which is a lot more tricky and complicated than the normal method!!!. It needed a helping had so we had to ICSI. We were not successly first time. We had enough sperm to freeze and with fresh eggs it did work on our second attempt and we now had a beautiful 3 year old daughter.

I had 10 embroy's to freeze so I'm now on the 3rd attempt of trying for another child.

thanks for your post. My dh had sperm aspiration in September (he'd also had a vasectomy after having 2 kids with his first wife).

I'm currently taking the HRT drugs for my second FET and am feeling quite negative after my last failed attempt so it's nice to see a success story.

I've also got 10 frosties!

We too are in a similar position. Good to hear your success Mrs A.

DH had vasec following kids with first wife. Not able to be reversed so had successful SSR in March and we have a few tubes of sperm ready and waiting. Hopefully they'll wake up from the big freeze and behave themselves during ICSI.

Positive vibes to us all.

Good luck to you both with your FET's. Do you have timescales / dates yet?

Natalie - luck good with your treatment sometimes i used to get really frustrated knowing my husband already has kids but stay positive as you know he can and your okay, you will get there!!!

Maci - i test on the 22 april, feeling okay at the moment. A few pains but i know its all mind games.

My FET is on 4th May so i'm a bit behind you. Just started the oestrogen tabs today.
