Is there anyone who has been able to egg share even though they are sickle cell trait?
I have been refused because I am!! I am tring to find out whether it is the policy of the hospital that I attended, whether it is a policy in just Birmingham or whether my consultant was just having a bad day (lol)
We are in a sitatuion now where instead of funding a £500 procedure to trying to find the funds for a £1500 - £2500 IVF or £2500 - £3500
steralisation reversal.
Is there anyone egg sharing in Birmingham? If so what hospital are you at?
just read this again debs_si and wanted to say that we had a vasectomy reversal and dh had antibodies meaning the sperm clump and don't swim freely although otherwise as far as we know they are ok. This means though that if that happened to you you would still need help, even if it was IUI without drugs - that would however be much cheaper than several IVF goes, which is why we had the reversal in the first place. At least with wahtever goes on with me, getting sperm from dh is easy now
