Hi Mandy I read your posting on another thread regarding your FET. I'm sorry to hear your news but wanted to let you know that it happened to me last month. I was all ready for a natural FET when they said that my lining was borderline (8mm is minimum and mine was 7.9!). We all agreed that it is better to be safe than sorry so we abandoned and agreed to start this month with HRT. I am now on day 3 of buserilin and 2 of HRT (progynova 2mg) which I was pleased to see are tablets not injections! It seems the HRT is mainly estrogen and you carry on taking them even after ET. I'm not sure if you will be on the same ones as we have different problems but I get the impression it all does the same thing. Anyway they are fine to take and I am actually quite glad now that we put it off rather than risk losing 2 embryos on something we knew had lower chances of survival than normal. I wondered if this was the reason my 1st IVF didn't work (ie thin lining) but they assure me it wasn't. Take care and wishing you luck and patience! Sandra

Hi Sandra, Thanks for your reply. As u say after the initial shock this AM I am coming to terms with it, and like u say I want to give it my best shot. We have 4 frosties and are planning to defrost them all and pick the best, upto 3 if possible. Like u I wonder if this is why my other 2 fresh cycles have not worked? In one way I hope so, meaning that we have found our problem and it will be solved. But having been on this mad rollercoster for the past years I know nothing is that simple. Hi Old Buddies, Just saw your messages and thought I'd post a quick message to let you guys know that I still think of you. I was sorry to read that your cycles had been cancelled. Am now sending loads of vibes your way and hoping that lining will be nice and thick for FET next month and you both get that xmas pressie you so deserve. Keeping everything crossed for you both.
