I'm on the 2ww at the mo trying for baby no 2 and wondered if anyone else had been in this situation and how they coped! I'm only on day 2 at the mo, but she's crying coz i'm not taking her to nursery or lifting her up too much
Any advice would be great thanks

Hi Susie,
I haven't been in this situation, my little girl is six months old, so currently no plans for a sibling (though we may get to that point!). I know DebraP has recently got a positive test result back, her little girl Maya is two, so she would have experienced what you are going through. She tends to post on the pregnant after treatment thread (the 40 plus thread I have seen her on) and also sometimes over here on the parents thread.
Good luck, and do let us know how you get on!
Belinda
Susie. Bel is spot on. My DD was 2 last week and I've somehow just managed a +ve despite her seemingly going all out to sabotage our efforts. I didn't lift her at all for 2 days but after that had to live normally. I avoided lifting her when poss for the 2ww but couldn't stop bathing or putting her in a car seat etc. I did things slightly more quickly, used my knees more than back (no idea if it helped). Her sabotage was to have a week of terrible nights where I was up repeatedly in the night then having to work the next day.
Good luck with your 2ww, it is possible to do and I hope your little girl gets a sibling very soon.
Hi, thanks for your replies.
I think your brave Debra trying again so soon. My DD is 4 so a bit older than yours. She walks everywhere and when she wants a cuddle I crouch and she hugs me. At first I was gonna be a hermit for the 2ww but I figured I cant stay in 4 ever, so I've gone back to work and I am taking her to nursery as normal.
I test on Mon 23rd so fingers crossed she'll have a sibling or 2 soon!
Thanks for the advice
Susie

I know your little one is young so wouldn't understand, I don;t really know what to say to be honest. I do know that I will keep everything crossed for you and hope all works out.
Hi Susie, I managed the 2ww by not doing anything the first couple of days which was really hard, but then had to pretty much carry on as normal, just made more use of friends and family for getting Ben (2) in and out of the car, kneeling down for cuddles, getting hubby to put him in and out of bed etc as much as possible. Everything went great and I'm now 5mths pregnant with miracle number 2. Just try and get as much rest as possible - its definately more exhausting having a toddler to run around after and be pregnant, but to be honest, I think it made the 2ww go so much faster as i really had no time to dwell on it all and at the end of the day, whatever the result (first go with no 2 was neg) you look into number ones face and everythings fine. Good luck for the 23rd xxxxxxx

For those of you who haven't read it anywhere else I got a BFP, I'm so pleased. I was shocked when the ICSI worked first time, but to work twice well I'm still in shock.
Thanks for all the replies
Susie.

Hi Susie
Congratulations - what lovely news! Now try to take it easy (well as much as you can with a little one!) and enjoy the next 8 months.
Love, Michelle
