June 05 - 2ww

Post by LittleP »

Thought we ought to start this off now as we are just about to change months and there will be some girls needing to cross over from May to June.

Good luck to you all - stay positive and hang in there.

As Nicki says - stay positive all of you.

There's a few of you who will be crossing over tomorrow so just wanted to wish you tons of luck and send you loads of PMA. Hope the struggle is getting better for you all.

I thought I'd be a few hours early and post on here rather than the May 2ww one.

I'm struggling a little with the positivity at the moment, which is wierd cos yesterday I was really "up". I think that Nicki and Bron's bad news has reminded me that AF could arrive any time for me now - I have always bled 2-4 days before test date, which means that by Thursday I will be on full alert (and I am already pretty paranoid!) so I sort of want to stay on today, with the possibility that I might be pregnant, rather than move on and find out that I'm not. (Sorry, so selfish for other people's news to make me focus back to me). Also hasn't helped that in the Cold Feet DVDs which I'd saved myself as a treat for when I was on the 2ww they have got to the bit where they're doing IVF - I'd remembered that there were fertility issues involved but not that it was quite such a dominant theme. I'm not sure its really taking my mind off things!

I'm probably also spending too much time in the house not doing much. I'm going out for the day with a good friend tomorrow - we're planning to go to the seaside although the weather forecast isn't great, but a bit of sea air might make me feel more lively.

Sorry for the negative, self-indulgent whinge, and thanks for listening.

Alison

Don't apologise for letting us know how you feel - honesty is the best policy and I think any of us girls who have been through the awful 2ww can relate totally to how you feel.

I am keeping everything crossed that you reach your positive result and hope that you remain sane in the process.

Take care of yourself and big hugs and huge amounts of PMA.

The 2WW is hell.

In some respects I feel glad AF has arrived at least the wait is over.

Very sad it has though as i will have to wait for consultant now to let me know if I can have another go or not.

Gail

PS Good luck to all!!!!!! Hope you all get +ives to cheer me up.

Thanks Little P for setting this up

Gail - so sorry to hear your news, although if you haven't had your test yet (not sure, as haven't read more widely) - people always say not to give up hope.

Hang in there Alison, day 11 is great, you are almost there - this whole waiting thing is crazy, up one minute, in a black cloud the next - I change mymind about 6 times each day about whether or not I think the transfer has worked - and each time I am absolutely convinved that I am right...

We are just trying to keep busy, to see if that helps the time to pass more quickly, our test is on Friday week (the 10th).

Keep smiling

Allison ( and all fellow ivfers), I think it's really healthy to just full out admit that you're losing it once in a while. I'm sure everyone here can relate and you should feel free to vent whenever you feel the need...You are almost there Allison and everything you're going through is completely to be expected.

Morning, what lovely messages - I'm so glad to know its not just me! I think Jo has hit the nail on the head saying about being convinced its worked and then convinced that it hasn't and being equally sure about each - that is EXACTLY how I feel.

Dim question, but does the 2ww start on the day you have the eggs out or the day they put them back? If its when they take them out then I'm on day 11 too :) , but if the latter then I'm only on day 5 :( . Either way its only 5 more sleeps til test day.

Gail, thanks for your good wishes - was so sorry about your result. And Little P, am I right in thinking from your ticker that you've got a scan today? If so I hope it goes well. Hope the day passes quickly for everyone, love

Hi Alison

Yes, had my scan - seemed to go ok :D - just waiting now for a phone call to see if I start the stimming drugs today or in a couple of days :?

I shall let you know what the outcome is.

Hope you are all ok.
