failed again

failed again on friday af came today totally gutted, as with all my ivf's (4) i kept getting period pain befor the actual transfer i've kept on and on to the clinic about this and all they ever say is that i shouldn't be getting it and that's all they ever say and they don't do anything as they don't know what to do,so thats it a total waste of time, emotions,etc. all my embryos are gone and can't afford anymore treatment at the mo, plus until this pain stops when having ivf it will never work,i feel totally let down by caru i've not had any real support, no offer of any counselling, no nothing! i've been trying 13years now and had 3 iui's 4 ivf's all for nothing as it's never worked, how can i cope when no-ones got the answer?

Cath - I'm so so sorry it hasn't worked for you this time. No wonder you're feeling so despondent about things. Does your hospital have counselling on site ? Maybe you need to approach them and ask (although it should be the other way around !). You do need to talk your feelings through with someone. Pls contact them.

Hello Cath,
So sorry to read your post. I too am being treated at CARU and have found them to be really helpful. I have been offered counselling on many occassions (although I've never taken it up) so I'm not sure why it has never been mentioned to you. Perhaps it would be good for you (or get DH to ring them if you're not feelng up to it) and ask them about it. I know what it is like to get a -ive result and it hurts like hell. This attempt is the last one for me too.
I'm not sure if any of this is helpful but all I can say is that I'm sorry.

I am so sorry that you have another -ve. It sounds very strange trhat you get different tmt to someone at the same clinic??? They should also investigate why things went wrong. Maybe you can get your GP to refer you to a gynae who can do the investigations so you don't have to pay for them?? If all else fails with the clinic I would write to the "Director" that should get some effect. Maybe if you pm debbie she'll give you the contact for the counsellor???
