IVF - Beta HCG Result - How many days after

Hi,

I finished my embryo transfer on the 12th of July 2005, and was asked to do a Beta HCG test (blood test) on the 23rd of July 2005. The result showed negative [1.7 ml/Uml]. Though i have been experiencing cramps from the next day of the ET. I am under suppositories Progesterone 200mg 3 tabs per day and also 1 ml of ampule (injection) alternate days till the 30th. But i still have not got my periods.

Anyone have experienced this before ?

Hi Vandana - Unfortunately taking progesterone plays nasty tricks on our bodies...late periods, high temps, sore BBs.... Also remember your body has been through a tremendous amount of hormones so everyone reacts different. You may experience your cycle being off for the next couple of months

I really am expecting some miracle to happen and i get pg soon. Really really wish something like that happen

Hi Vandana - You will get pregnant...believe it. It is very hard to understand why the IVF did not work.

Come join us in the General Forum...lots of good discussion and you will read there are lots of woman going through IVF...with lots of success stories.
