never give up

Post by danica »

wow, feels like i havent been on here in ages - well, its been about 6months!! don't know how many of u remember me but i was the one who had our first ivf/icsi in feb which went horribly wrong, ended up with septicaemia & had an emergency op etc (the 2nd person in 25yrs at that hosp)... and, i was also the one that thought we'd never ever do that again coz i almost lost my life etc...well.... we did do it again!! changed hospitals and met the most wonderful doctor! as soon as we saw our embryo on the screen (only had one left which was couriered to the new hosp!) we just melted, we thought it was gorgeous lol... transfer was 29th aug and our blood test was 12th sept.... and... we're pregnant!!!! i still cant believe it... dh and i jumped up and down like loonatics and cried soooo much... we had totally lost all hope after 5yrs of trying for our own lil bubba and just to get this far is amazing... so please to all out there... always give it one more try and never give up hope
luv & bestest wishes.

Fanntastic news Danica - I remember you from Feb (I had my 2nd treatment around that time). Are you coming over to 1st trimester friends? It would be lovely to see you over there. Congratulations,

dear danica
thank you for sharing your fantastic news - i can only imagine how happy you must be after such a traumatic round 1 - clever girl! I hope you are very proud of yourself. Happy days for you and your partner. It is especially encouraging for me as my first ICSI attempt failed last week - is there anything you did differently the second time round? I am tempted to throw in the books and carry on working - rather than sit at home as if i was ill and pouring over too much information, which is what i did the first time.
