I am so early in my pregnancy that I can't even believe my test came out positive. I conceived one week ago and my HCG levls are 3600! I have had cramping and mild spotting but my doctor said not to worry yet. I had an ultrasound yesterday and she only saw one egg. She said that one could still be lurking in the fallopian tube. My question is if there was one still coming down from the fallopian tube, would it produce HCG? I know it doesn't usually until it implants but there is some strange reason why my levels are so high. Secondly, with fraternal twins, do both implant at the same time? It is still soon enough that the implantation might not be complete.
As a side note, I am 27 with an 18-month son who was conceived naturally. This month, I was on 150 mg clomid and the doctor saw 2 corpus lutem on my right ovary, couldn't find the left. Any insight would be much appreciated.
I'm not saying that 3600 is impossible, but one week after conception? And you can see the egg in the uterus one week after conception? If that's true, I'll get myself in for a scan tomorrow. My doc is telling me that I will get a scan at 6-7 weeks.
