Lupron: What to expect?

Hello Everyone, I will soon be starting my Lupron injections. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what to expect.

Also, I have a cyst and my RE said with the Lupron injections it may go away. Has anyone experienced this?

first off good luck on your cycle, are you doing IVF??......

i usually have left over cycts and the lupron takes care of it... i will say, that i really do not like the sideeffects of lupron... i get migrains (i'm prone to them) and hot flashes, and a bit moody.... but in the end i hope that it's worth it..... suffer for a little while to try and fill a dream!!

Colleen- Thank you so much for the reply. It is greatly appreciated! Yes, I am doing IVF. I am just starting my first cycle of IVF ever. My RE has started me out with OCs and I begin Lupron next Tuesday. I am also prone to migraines and had several while on Clomid. But I have to agree the suffering will be worth it to fullfill a dream.

hi there.... we are hoping for an EC on tuesday or wednesday of next week.... we are waiting for the bloods to come back and hopefully all is going well..... myself, i have a problem of my e2 dropping and my cycle getting canceled, so i dread the blood tests...

how long are you on the lupron..... when do you get to start the stims??
hope that your are doing good, and that the first time will be a charm!!!

Hi. Good luck next week! I'll be thinking of you. I can only imagine how upsetting it would be have a cycle cancelled. How many times have you cycled? Keep me posted!

I'll be on Lupron for my entire cycle. Yipeee! My protocol is:
1. BCP's for 14 days
2. BCP's for 7 days + 10 units Lupron
3. 5 units Lupron until stims
4. Lupron + Bravelle + Menopur for stims

I am hoping to start stims around Oct. 8 with ER/ET the week of Oct. 17.
