Question on AF after treatment

Hi

Maybe this is a silly question. .. but I was wondering when on average are people gettting AF after embryo tranfer? I know there is probably no average time as everyone is different, but do most get AF before test date, or can it be after?

I have another 5 nights till test date. Feeling very menstrual, crampy, tired etc..... just worrying I guess.

I've no words of wisdom but I just thought i'd let you know I'm feeling the same. I'm due to do my test on Thurs but the way i feel now i don't think I'll make it til then. I've cramps and back pain. Trying to think positive and take the advice the lovely girls on this board have given me but its hard. Maybe if we wish hard enough we can make the feelings go away!!!!

Hi, after my failed fresh cycle, I got AF about a week after my (-ve) test date but reading this board leads me to think that many get it beforehand mostly from Day 9 onwards.

Good luck and let's hope the feelings, cramps etc you (and Bonbon) have are your bodies adjusting to pregnancy

Also thank you Debra. I am trying really hard to stay positive. I have read so much about the 2ww and never ever thought it would be as bad as everyone says...... but ITS WORSE! I feel like I am going through some kind of slow torture.

I really dont know how I feel, one minute I think it feels like AF pains, next minute i think its something different.

DH being great, but think he is finding it really hard to.

Plus, I am desperate for a glass of wine! but ... i guess I want to be PG more, so I am not going to give in. lol

bodies are so different... i always get AF about 5 days after the -ive.... i think that it has to do with the projestrone that i'm taking during the 2WW... i will say that when i got a +ive, i had the worst back pain that i've ever had..... so stay positive and wishing loads of baby dust for you both!!!!

Well it seems like my fears might have been justified. Woke up bleeding a bit on Saturday early morning... v upset. Not much bleeding since, tiny amounts (tmi) but still feeling like AF will start at any moment.

From what i have read, spotting doesn't necessarily mean a negative result. I know this is a scary time but all the positive attitude and support from the girls on this board has to be going somewhere!! I'm doing enough positive thinking for both of us! Keep your chin up.

Thanks bonbon... sounds like things are going smoothly so far for you! Great news, long may it continue..... only 3 more sleeps to go.

I am beginning to wonder if the spotting was a big deal at all, although it was very red which seems to be a bad sign. Saying that, how shall i put this....... we stopped abstaining the night before and I am wondering if this would maybe have caused the bleeding, tender cervix and all that. Maybe I am just kidding myself. Hard to know really.
