HEAVIESH BLEEDING 4 DAYS AFTER ET

Hi Everyone

I wonder if anyone can help me.

I am currently on day 4 of the 2ww of my Frozen Cycle. I had 2 Embryos put back in on Thursday and the transfer went really smoothly.

Yesterday I started getting spotting which continued through the afternoon and into the evening. This morning the brown had turned to red and seems to be heavier than just a few spots. Although it is not as heavy as DAY 1 period, it is definitely a lot more than a few spots.

There seems to be quite a lot when I go to the toilet and wipe myself (TMI, sorry).

I know it has only been 4 days but this really feels like AF, I have that dull feeling in my back and lower stomach.

Is it possible to get a period so soon after ET.

Your help and advice would be really greatly received.

sorry to hear this, as i know how worrying it is , but... it could also be implantation bleed. i had this.. and the worse thing is you wont actually know untill your 2ww is over.
please hang in there and keep thinking positive thoughts.
i will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks for your responses. I am going to call the Hospital again this morning as it has turned in to a full blown period bleed, I honestly think it is all over for me this time although I won't give up.

The hardest part about is that I have stuck to such a healthy diet this time around, was really being positive as my first cycle of IVF I must admit I was really negative and really anxious. On my first cycle of IVF I bled the day I was due to test.

I am going to speak to the hospital because the day before I had my transfer I felt like AF was going to arrive. During my whole cycle I was only scanned once - I sniffed for 10 days, AF arrived (I wasn't scanned) just told to start taking oestradiol tablets, I took the tablets for 14 days had my first scan on the Monday and had the transfer on the Thursday. They took 4 embryos out of storage, all four survived the thaw and all of them continued growing overnight and a 6 cell and an 8 cell were put back, the embryologist said they were excellent embryos.

Anyway I am going to call the hospital and arrange to see aDoctor so I can see what went wrong this time.

Hi

A Doctor called me from the Hospital today. She couldn't understand as to why this has happened but basically said that it sounds like it is a period and that the cycle has failed. She told me to carry on with the medication and to test as scheduled next Thursday (13th October) as they still have to air on the side of caution but not to hold out much hope.

I am going to make an appointment for us to go and see the Doctor at the Hospital as obviously I need to know why this has happened. I keep thinking that perhaps the medication dosage was too high or too low. This was my first FET so I was on different medication to my fresh IVF cycle.

I am so disappointed - we had 4 frosties thawed, all 4 surived the thaw and continued growing overnight and the Embryologist said they were excellent quality, an 8 cell and 6 cell were put back - that is what I was worrying about, if they didn't survive that - we get through that and then this happens. We still have 7 frosties left.

We have decided to wait until January before we go for our next FET.
