1st time ISCI

Hi, just had appointment at hospital and we're going to start ICSI in the New Year. Got to take neurothestorone to start me going first ! ! It's so nice to have found this site where you can talk to others going through the same. I had a failed attempt of metrodin 3 years ago that resulted in a miscarriage at 6 weeks. Can't help hoping that this time will be different . . . Good luck to everyone out there.

Hi Bex, Welcome to the site, I only found it quite recently myself and yet feel a bit of an old timer already due to the number of new names that keep appearing. You're so right about it being great to be able to share experiences with people who are in the same position as yourself. Good Luck with your treatment next year. I'm due to have IUI in the new year, so we'll have to keep each other posted with our progress. Suzanne.x

Welcome Bex Delighted that you have found us. The site is a real pleasure and help - anytime you feel low or have a question someone will always be around to help so don't hesitate to post. I'm one of the lucky ones who got a positive last week, although I can't help regarding ICSI, as I had IVF, I'm always around to support you and all the other girls - honestly I don't know how I would have got through it without all the wonderful girls. hello bex, just a little note to say hi and welcome..............this board has helped me through all of my ivf and i was also lucky to have a +. there is alot of cycle buddies starting treatment in the new year so your not alone. any questions just ask.someone will answer you. GOOD LUCK BECK XX

Hi Bex I too am starting ICSI next year - probably MArch. Dh has vv low count due to mumps. dh will have TESA early in NY and if they get any good sperms that way - then we'll start ICSI in MArch - i they dont get any- then its game over for us. But MAYBE we'll be joining you! Finger crossed - good luck Caz

Hi Bex Welcome to the site, it can really be a sanity-saver. I'll be kicking-off my 2nd attempt at IVF in the New Year as well. Will be trying to relax and enjoy Christmas first though. Good luck to all of us in the New Year, let's hope 2003 is OUR year :-) LOL Terri xxxxx

Dear Bex, Gald you've found this website - it really is wonderful (if a bit addictive). It's good to wait until after Christmas to start - have a good one, with lots to drink!! We'll be starting our 4th ICSI cycle in 2003, but we've just booked to go skiing with friends in March, so at least we've got something to look forward to in the New Year. Let's hope that 2003 is better than 2002 for a lot of people on this site - we all deserve some luck! Alison P

Thanks to everyone for you replies, it's so nice to chat to people who know EXACTLY what we're all going through. Katherine, we'll have to keep eachother posted on progress - email me ! ! Caz, my partner Paul has low count due to an accident as a youngster. Well, i'm off to Eurodisney tomorrow for my 30th birthday on Friday - if i can shift this cold. Hi Bex, I only found this site a while ago... it's excellent. We are due to start our first ICSI treatment in Jan too, so we might be cycle buddies!! ( I am due to start sniffing around 7th Jan). Good Luck with your treatment... look forward to reading your posts!!! Lots of love Kirsty xxx

Hi Bex and Kirsty C, Welcome to the site, I found this at the beginning of my 2ww(2week wait) We have just gone through ICSI for the first time and got a positive result yesterday! Just wanted to give you a bit of hope, this site will help you with anything you want to know and the girls give a great amount of support to you, especially on the dreaded 2ww. Hi Kirsty, keep me posted with how you're getting on. We've just got back from Eurodisney for my birthday - brilliant time except i started crying over breakfast on my birthday at the sight of all the young children & babies - silly i know, but sometimes it just happens ! ! I should start sniffing around the 10th so not far behind you ! speak to you soon Congratulations scorry, hopefully we'll all be celebrating by Feb !

Hi Bex I too am starting ICSI in the New Year - actually works out that my first Busserelin injection is 31st December, so that should make for an interesting New Year!! It's our first attempt at ICSI, although we have had 2 IUI attempts and I feel quite nervous about it but also excited in a strange sort of way. Just want to get cracking now. Our drugs arrived at the weekend and it all seems more real now. I hope all goes well for you. Do you know start dates yet? Best of luck to everyone Rachel xxx

Hi Everyone, I should start sniffing around about the 10th Jan, so could be injecting by end of Jan all going well. I'm just waiting for my drugs to arrive, i just want to get started straight away. I'm feeling really low at the moment and i'm just wishing time away which is a bit sad. i can't wait for Xmas to hurry up and go ! !
