Diabetes and GS

Hello to everyone. I have a question that I can not seem to find any real answer to. I have had two insulin pregnancies with absolutely no complications and have now had a tubal but would like to (GS) surrogate for a couple. With close glucose control and monitoring, would it have less risks than if the egg was from a diabetic mom? Is surrogacy out of the question for those with diabetes ( I know it is with most "agencies"? Is that up to the intended parents to decide if they are comfortable with the risks? Thanks to anyone who can give me a clue.
