I'm new to this message board - but I'm halfway through the 2ww.
I had ET on Weds of last week. On Sunday I started spotting and on Monday I passed a small blood clot - the same thing happened on Tuesday (spotting and blood clot).
I am going out of my mind with worry - the clinic have said it doesn't sound good.
Has anybody else experienced this and gone to ge a positive result??
I'm not due to test until a week on Friday - the wait is killing me.
Sorry to hear what has happened but don't give up hope yet.
A similar thing happened to me but this was during a frozen cycle. I had the Embryo replacement on Thursday and started spotted on Sunday which turned into a full flow bleed on Monday. I telephoned the hospital and they told me to call back the following day if the bleeding continued. I was still bleeding the following day and I spoke with a Doctor who told me that it didn't sound good but to continue with the medication and still test when I was due to, the bleeding continued for 5 days and was full flow A/F. Unfortunately I got a Negative result. I did have a follow up appointment and was told that I was inserting the progesterone in the wrong place (the Nurse had told me it didn't matter where it was inserted). Apparently during a frozen cycle progesterone must be inserted in the front.
Anyway please gon't give up hope and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Nikki,
I'm sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. I think most newbies join at a time when something has happened and they need reassurance, and I'd say this question is one of the most common.
I asked the exact same question when I started bleeding during the 2ww. I asked for a frank and honest answer which I was told was difficult because there is no ABSOLUTE outcome.
I started bleeding 11 days after transfer and the hospital told me that it sounded like af. The test 3 days later was negative. However, I was glad I'd had three days to prepare myself and felt mentally more able to take it as dp and I had had a few days on our own to get used to the idea.
HOWEVER - I have heard numerous people on this website who say they bled also and came away with a positive result.
It is hard not knowing and keeping a positive attitude, but there is loads of support here.
I wish you a HUGE good luck and hopong that it's "implantation bleeding"
Cla
