New Girl!!!

HI,

I'm Roseann 27 and am just waiting to start IVF/ICIS.

DH is 26 and has practically no sperm what so ever!

We have been TTC since Feb 05 and found out about dh's little problem in July 05.

I can't help feeling really resentful about it all, not towards dh, just about the whole thing. We both want a baby, but when I think about what I will be going thru and it isn't even my problem! I just get really resentful and think of ways to be awkward with the clinic and proceedures.

Was anyone allowed their partners with them during egg recovery?

I am 23 and had IVF ICSI last April. DH has had a vasectomy that's why we cannot conceive naturally...

DH couldn't be with me for EC but could for ET.

Now you've found us you will find loads of advice and support from the ladies here. Lots of ladies share their stories and I'm sure you will find answers to all your questions...just ask away!

DH aren't allowed with you for EC as far as I am aware, but all clinics are different, have you asked? Where are you having your EC?

You may like to join the general forum where there are threads for under 30 girls and December buddies..enjoy the company, but be aware this site is very very addictive!!

Don't worry we all go through those feelings.

Just to let you know when I had my EC DH was with me all the time - up my end not down that end! I think everywhere differs - UK policy may say no as it is kind of an operation - you will be able to ask the other english ladies

Welcome to the site. You will find a lot of support on here.
Your post stuck a chord with me, because thats exactly how I felt!
Its hard, because you dont want your DH to suffer any more than what he already is, but I found it difficult going through all the tests (Just to check I was ok) and then all the IVF drugs/treatments when there was nothing wrong with me! Its just human nature I think, to feel like this.
As far as I remember, my DH could have been with me during EC, but we both decided it wasnt a good idea. He was with me for the ET though.
Check what your clinic protocol is.

Hope you are ok, it's a very difficult time you are going through but I hope you find comfort from this site. My DH was with me for everything, blood tests, scans, EC and ET, I guess it depends on clinics.
